!!! THE PICTURE SHOWN FOR THIS ITEM IS NOT WHAT YOU RECEIVE !!!After searching Amazon and other websites, I found a lot of complaints about the generic battery packs for the PSP-3001. A generic pack will have "3.6V 2600mAh Li-ion Battery" printed on the front in white lettering. On the back, you will see "MADE IN CHINA" in a white box on the bottom. After reading all the complaints I decided to get a original Sony PSPS110 battery pack instead of a generic replacement. This item showed up in my Amazon search and the picture showed the original PSPS110 battery pack that came with my PSP-3001. At the time this item didn't have any reviews. Once I received it a couple of days later I realized that I was duped. What I received was the generic battery pack. Every bad review that I read about the generic pack was that it would not work at all in a PSP-3001 or that it would charge a couple of times then stop charging/recharging. Well, I thought "Let's give it a try and see what happens". It would take about 3.5 hrs to discharge and it was recharging just fine. After about 2 weeks of discharging/recharging every day I decided that I got lucky and got one of the good ones and proceed to toss the packaging since I wouldn't need it for returning the item. Big mistake. Now I am sitting here on the 26th day after purchase and experiencing the exact same problems as every other reviewer. The battery pack won't discharge/recharge and no "original packaging" (see Amazon's policy for Consumer Electronics Returns)to return the item. In other words I only got about 26 discharge/recharge cycles out this battery pack before my Battery Information on the PSP showed all dashes. My advice is that if you order a "original" Sony PSPS110 battery pack for a PSP-3001 and a generic one shows up on your door step, DON'T EVEN OPEN IT! SHIP IT BACK AND GET A REFUND RIGHT AWAY! |
