Is not a direct replacement,

This item is not a direct replacement air filter. At least that is the case for my 16 HP Craftsman generator. It has a small ridge around each side the top and bottom of this air filter. It is just enough not to allow it to sit low enough to use the nut that came with the generator to secure it. I tried using a flat nut and still the top of the enclosure and it still will not seal properly.
I can't write about it's ability to work with all the B&S engines that it is recommended to work on but it will not work properly the 16 HP B&S engine on the Craftsman generator. |
