Got these batteries in a pinch since no one had new LP-E8 batteries for anything less than $80 at the time. They certainly feel like cheaper versions, but overall work pretty good. The only thing keeping these from getting all 5 stars is that die almost instantly when the battery level drops. With the real LP-E8 I've been able to shoot video for at least 5-10 minutes when the battery level drops to the last of 3 segments on the camera display. With these knock off batteries YOU BETTER CHANGE YOUR BATTERY AS SOON AS THE BATTERY LEVEL INDICATOR DROPS TO 2 OF 3 SEGMENTS! I don't think these have the full 1100mAh that the LP-E8s do but they will definitely get me through a 16GB card only shooting video and then about 4-6GB more before I have to switch to a new battery.

Overall with these 2 batteries and the original LP-E8 that came with my T2i I can shoot about 3.5 to maybe 4 hours of video. I have used these almost exclusively for the past month to really test them and have no complaints other than the need to change the battery as soon as the indicator drops. I will definitely pick up another pair in the future along with one other real LP-E8, should be good for a whole day of shooting with 4 of these and 2 originals.

The work, and they fit. But they die quick! One died after about 60 shots, the other went even quicker so maybe it wasn't charged completely. I've re-charged and run them out several times. On average they last about half as long as the stock Canon battery in my T2i. They're great value though.

I don't have a long experience with these batteries, but they are working fine and they fit the Canon T2i well. They seem to last about as well as the stock Canon battery.

I bought these batteries to supplement the original Canon battery I received with my T2i. They are insufficient in performance, lasting way too short for film work and cutting out with little to no warning. I don't recommend these, as tempting as they are for their price. The original batteries from Canon are expensive, but they are workhorses, which you need when shooting in the field.

The batteries work well with the new canon 550D. The LCD protector arrived with broken glass and I did not bother to get a new one.

I ordered the 2 pack of batteries for my Canon camera. We were going on a trip and wanted to have extra batteries. I read the mixed reviews about the battery life, and was pleased at the battery life I got from them. It was nice having batteries to rotate and these were very inexpensive and well worth the price! Very happy with them.

I've used them for a while now & they don't last quite as long as the original canon battery, but for the money you can't go wrong. You get 2 for less than 1. This is a great deal!!

I bought these to supplement the stock battery for extra shots on a recent Disney trip and they worked well for that. As many others have said, there is little warning before they die - down one "bar" one minute and then before you know it "replace battery" comes up and the camera will do no more. This would not be a good buy at all for anyone doing serious film work, etc. but for causal / family use replacing a battery when the time comes is, after all, much quicker than it used to be replacing a roll of film (but I'm showing my age...some of you out there are likely asking "what's film?" as my 7-year-old daughter recently asked me). I now have 2 stock Canon batteries and this set and feel confident in using the T2i for both photos and video for a full day without problems running short of power. If planning a stretch of more video I definitely put in a brand-name Canon battery, however.

yes, there might be some small benefit for getting the real brand batteries... but these are doing very well for me.

TWO BATTERIES AND AN LCD SCREEN PROTECTOR...FOR ABOUT 1/2 WHAT CANON WOULD CHARGE FOR ONE BATTERY! THE SCREEN PROTECTOR IS A "MUST" FOR THIS LARGE LCD DISPLAY! NOW I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT SCRATCHING IT! GARY W HOLT
