New Laptop Replacement Battery for TOSHIBA 176U-2BRS PABAS012 PA3191U-5BRS

Although this battery is labeled as being a replacement for the PA3191U-5BRS, I don't think that it truly is. My original battery of that label is 10.8V whereas this is 11.1V. I have been using the battery for a few days now, and it seems to work in my laptop (Portege M700), although with it installed, I am unable to start the computer up or bring it out of hibernate. If I pop the battery off, start it up, and then reinstall the battery, it seems to work fine and have the runtime of the original battery, but this would require the laptop to be plugged in or to have the additional slice battery installed as I do. Considering the cost is about a quarter of the cost of the Toshiba branded one, I won't really complain and will put up with this inconvenience for the sake of money.

If you're looking for a perfect replacement, you might want to look elsewhere, but a little extra work is worth the money you'll save, by all means this works.

This battery was excellent at first, but it lost its capacity for a recharge far too quickly. In approximately 6 months it was essentially unusable for anything except moving the laptop from room to room and plugging it back in. I would not buy another from MLC Distribution, Inc. Their service was fine, but their product was inferior.

This battery is terrible. It's not the right amps and now I have to return it. Thanks for wasting my time.

I purchased these batteries as replacements for our Toshiba Tablets. I received the shipment on time and product was in a plastic bag. It seems like new batteries. However, when we started using them, we noticed the charge didn't last as long as other batteries we bought from different retailers on Amazon. I'm not sure why this would happen. We did let the batteries charge overnight before we first used them.

I've had this battery for probably a year now and it's holding up quite well with no sign of problems at all.

Battery arrived within days of my placing the order. It was exactly what I needed.
