Bought this to replace the wimpy 3-cell that came with my netbook.

After fully charging (be careful to do this several times, giving it at least 12 hours with each charge), it's able to power my Acer Aspire One for 10 hours. Outstanding for portable use; I no longer cart the power supply and cord along, except on very extended outings.

The size of the battery is both a plus and a minus. Its bulk raises the back end of the netbook at a perfect angle for me--a big plus. But its bulk also means that the neoprene "sleeve" I bought for the computer is useless, since it won't stretch over the protruding battery in the back.

For anyone who wants all-day portable computing, this is a no-brainer.

bought this for an acer aspire one kav 60, and now use it on the d250, pretty much the same computer just newer model.... i was only getting about an hour on the kav 60 with it's battery because of it's age so i picked this big ol 9 cell so i could use my netbook at school, this thing lasts forever, got about 9 hours out of it... so basically:

pros
- comes in great packaging, nice box with foam inside.
- free usb extension cable...sure why not :)
- follow instructions charge it up for twelve hours, then use it up, then charge it another 12 hours, repeat a few times to condition the battery and you'll be getting between 7 to 9 hours out of it of straight use depending on what you're doing.
-props the computer up in the rear for a comfortable typing angle.

cons
- bulky. it sticks out and adds some weight. i switch the battery if it bothers me too much, but for the most part it doesn't bother me. when the netbook is on a flat surface it is propped up at a nice angle which makes it a little more comfortable to type.
- added weight. my d250 is really light, and it does add substantial weight, i don't know the specs but i'm sure google does.

overall, if battery life is your thing, get this it's awesome, but if you don't need 9 hours of usage without an outlet to plug in, then the weight and bulkiness might bother you. see if this seller has a 6 cell of the same manufacturer cause it seems pretty well put together.

This battery holds more hours than expected. It's great to have as a spare for the road. I have a white one and black one to know which is charged, and which needs charging.

Yea it might look like a bulky tumor on the side of your Netbook (aka optical drive less laptop!) but it actually props it up so that way the keyboard is at a slant for more comfort and it lasts like 7 hours on full use movies etc.!!!!

Installed on my Acer Aspire One AOA 150 - 1635 running Windows 7 Ultimate.

The original battery (I think it was a 3-cell) netted me roughly 1hr. - 1:30. This battery, so far, has given approx. 8 - 9hrs. in moderate use while utilizing the wireless. I ran it as a media center PC (Boxee to be more specific) on a wired Ethernet connection and got closer to 10hrs. give or take.

The difference between this and the stock battery is night and day. As many have said before, take special note and pay attention to give your initial charge a full 12 hours minimum.

The form factor of the battery is much bigger than the stock battery but for my purposes it works out great (Props the netbook up when sitting on a flat surface).

Shipping was quick... product quality, thus far, is great... and you can't beat the price.

This battery is bulky, but that's what's going to make this battery last, and it does. Looks to be around 6 hours of battery life.

As represented in the other reviews, the battery is large and heavy. I used it for my Daughter's (9yrs) netbook and she doesn't seem to notice. It did make it hard to put into the soft case we have.

The pertinent issues are: It is easy to replace and works perfectly: Unlock the battery, slide the release switch, pull-out the old and replace with the new. Plug in the charger and let charge for 12 hours. I did as the instructions suggest, and removed and replaced the battery so as to restart the charging process. We went from under 2 hours with the old 3 cell to over 9 with the new 9 cell.

The shipping was very fast. It arrived before items bought at the same time from Amazon. I really didn't think it was possible to ship it as quickly as it was.

The battery arrived quickly and fit the computer. I was a little surprised at the size of the replacement battery. It is much bigger than the "factory" model battery. The base of the battery extends about one inch below the case. I am getting over 8 hours of use and find that the computer is really handy for long trips without a power source. So, my surprise turned to joy when I realized I had new potential uses for the little computer. If weight is really an issue, then purchase the smaller physical size of battery. The vendor delivered the product in a timely manner.

Great battery at a great price! I use my netbook a lot more now, and I think it helps with cooling a bit too getting it off the table. The extra usb cord is a nice touch. Getting about 9 hours off my battery.

Got this a while back and after following the simple instructions my acerbic one 10 inch laptop works beautifully and for a long time with a lot of usbs stuck to it , didn't time it but sure stays on a long time
