This review is from: The Replacement God Volume One (Paperback)
The Replacement God, by Sander Cannon, is the beginning of an epic race to replace the god of death. Yes, Death has died--as all the gods do in Zander's tale--and the quest to find the replacement god begin. Will it be prophicized boy, Knute? Or will the power hungry King Ursus elivate himself into godhood to keep his reign ongoing for another thousand years? Or, will the beatnik visgoths throw a monkey wrench in the entire scheme of things? The Replacement God is an excellent read and despite it's fantasy elements, readers who typically do not like knights, castles, etc., won't notice the setting at all.
