After experiencing very short life with the original 6-cell battery in my HP laptop (after about 2 years), I decided to try the 12-cell version. I don't carry the laptop around on a daily basis so weight was not a major issue for me. The new 12-cell battery is giving me about 3 hours of service, a big improvement over the 6-cell battery.

I purchased this battery as a replacement for a Compaq 367759-001. I purchased from Sunvalleytek because it was advertised as a Compaq battery and I thought it would be higher quality.

Not 5 minutes after putting this in the laptop it began to smoke. We took it out immediately but the damage was already done and the motherboard was destroyed. They took the battery back and admitted there was a problem. They began to work with me to see about getting some compensation for the destroyed laptop and kept dragging it on until 3 months had past. Then all of a sudden the person I was working with 'no longer worked for them' and they had no record of our conversations. I've tried to contact them by phone but I only get an answering machine.

Be cautious about the batteries they sell and if you have any problems, immediately go to Amazon for help rather than expecting this company to resolve it in your favor.

Compared to the prices asked by the original manufacturer and/or retail battery shops, this battery offers the best bang for the buck. Actually 1/3 the price offered by HP, this laptop battery gives me nearly 4 hours of continuous usage compared to (MUCH) less than 1 hour with the original battery. I have only been using it for 2 weeks so can't comment on the longevity of the battery but I can say that so far, I am extremely pleased. Highly recommend the seller (BrilliantStore) and their speedy service.

Purchased this for my Presario V2000. My original battery was done, so I replaced it with this one. It was an upgraded battery (higher cells= bigger battery size) so it lifts my laptop up a bit in the back, but I think it helps the air cirulation to keep it cooler. I love that the time has been expanded to 6 hours of using my laptop where ever I need to roam with out having to recharge so frequently. Good price/value for the purchase. It was delivered quickly and in great shape.

My previous battery won't charge to it's full capacity, and can't hold any power anymore. This item is a good buy to replace compaq V2000. BEWARE. it sticks out on the bottom... just think of it as a liftup helping your laptop vent hot air.

First off, the item got to my house super quick. My original v2000 battery wouldn't hold a charge for more than a half an hour tops. I popped this one in and let it get fully charged. The battery usage time went to 3 1/2 hours. You can't beat that for this price. HP wanted 90 bucks for the same battery. Glad I got it here! Read all of the reviews from other people too. If you need it buy it, this is a really great price for this item.

The original battery, even when new, would last only about two hours. This battery has been going nearly 5 hours with emailing and internet browsing. It is a bit shorter if running other software (as expected) but still an excellent product.

Battery worked fine for close to a year, then would only charge to 90%, then 80, now I can't even reach a 70% charge. Run HP Battery Check and it comes back with dead cells. Advise people to shop elsewhere due to bad customer service and poor if not non-existent warranty.

Fully 1/3 the price of an HP battery of the same type. And it works great. My wife's old computer now has the battery life of some thousand dollar laptops. Also the battery raises the back of the machine angling the keyboard forward for better positioning and cooling on a hard flat surface. Best 36 bucks I ever spent!

I've used this product for the past 3 weeks. Works like OEM product. Doubled my surfing time without plugging in.
