I rate this Minus 1 star. This battery DOES NOT FIT the CREATIVE NOMAD Jukebox Zen Xtra!! Buyers Beware. This battery is slightly smaller than the original battery, and it slides around inside the NOMAD case, and makes NOMAD turn itself off!!

The only way I could get it to work at all was to pad the extra space around this battery with thin cardboard.

Next time I need one, I will buy the original product instead of trying to save a few $$ buying a cheap knock-off.

I ordered this battery for my Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra with a 30GB hard drive. The battery fits perfectly. The original battery was BA- 20203R79903 (3.6V) but the BA-20203R79902 (3.7V) works like the original. I charged the battery for the recommended 4 hours and it I played the Zen Xtra for a whopping continuous 15.5 hours before the battery died.

I ordered two of these batteries for my old Zen Xtra. As others have said, this battery is a fraction smaller than the original one and it will require a simple shim of some sort. One could use a toothpick, a piece of plastic, or some strips of electrical tape attached to the end of the battery. It's not really a big deal and otherwise these batteries work fine. Considering that these Zen players are dinasaurs age-wise we're lucky to be able to find batteries at such a low price. Actually my biggest complaint is the shipping costs from this company. There is a fixed shipping rate per item which turned out to be a ridiculous amount for the two small batteries I ordered. So the advertised price of this company's products is a bit of a farce but overall I was still happy to get the batteries.

I have a 40G Zen Xtra and purchased this battery to replace my tired old battery. The replacement doesn't fit snuggly -- it is smaller in size than the original battery. The battery required a shim be made for it -- without it, the battery couldn't make contact so it couldn't be charged and used.

The battery seems to work ok (I've only had it for a few days) but it is not a perfect replacement for my MP3 player.

Based on the split reviews of this item, I am wondering if this after-market battery is manufactured by different subcontractors with varying tolerances for size accuracy. I ordered this item expecting to have to jerry-rig a shim to get it to fit right, as other purchasers apparently have had to do, but it fit fine in my 40GB Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra. Nice, since Creative has dead-ended support for this 8-year-old machine, and after-market batteries like this one are the only way to keep the ol' Zen ticking. Anyhow, I understand the frustration experienced by buyers who had to retrofit their batteries, but in my case at least the battery fit and worked A-OK.

Although my original Nomad battery had been dead for a couple years, I was reluctant to buy the replacement based on the reviews that it was not quite the right fit. I finally bought a pair, figuring that for $10 apiece, there wasn't much to lose. I was very pleased to find that the battery was indeed a perfect fit for my 30GB Nomad. It has basically given my Nomad new life. Even though one of my coworkers refers to it as my "Fred Flinstone MP3 player" (yes, it's a bit on the bulky side), it once again does what a MP3 player is supposed to do--play music on the go. I have about 120 CDs on this thing and that still only fills about 1/3 of its capacity. Now I can once again use it without keeping it plugged in.

I saw the warnings that this battery doesn't fit properly, and prepared myself to have to insert a shim. Mine is a Creative Zen Extra Nomad 30 GB and the battery fits perfectly. It charged quickly (and I'm hoping it will hold a charge). The original battery finally gave up after more than five years of (occasional) use, so I'm hoping the replacement will last, too.

I got this battery because the stock one for my 40GB Creative Jukebox Zen Xtra didn't want to charge any more. I don't usually write reviews for products, but I was inclined to let everyone else know that while this battery does work with my MP3 player, the life of it is horrendous. It only last 1-2 hours after being fully charged.

It's the only option I have now since it's a replacement for my other battery that doesn't work, but just know that it is not a very good backup if that is what you are buying it for.

Perfect replacement for the Nomad. Can't beat the price. I might even order a second one for a backup batteery.

Works OK but not sized accurately. Did not fit properly.
(Needed to be fitted with a small insert of paper.)
