Nobody in the know about high camera accessories prices buys Leica branded products (except lenses). This is made for both the Leica D-Lux 4 and the Panasonic equivalent DMC LX3 (which costs hundreds less but doesn't have the red dot). It may be compatible with other models or brands as well which have that particular power input type. Note: this does not charge the battery on the D-Lux 4, just supplies power while uploading photos to the computer or while doing studio shooting. The former use is important since if the battery goes flat while uploading pics, the transfer may fail completely. Best to use this.

I'm sure this adapter would work perfectly, except for the fact that the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3K requires a Multi-Conversion adapter (DMW-MCA1) also. Unfortunately, the description for this power adapter does not include that fact. The seller doesn't carry the the Multi-Conversion adapter either. Their suggestion was to try "Radio Shack" to find one. Unfortunately, this Multi-Conversion adapter seems to be virtually unavailable in the USA at present, making this power adapter absolutely useless for the DMC-ZS3K camera.

This seller needs to clarify the description for this power adapter as it relates specifically to the Lumix DMC-ZS3K camera. It will NOT work unless you can get your hands on the additional DMW-MCA1 Multi-Conversion adapter.

I highly recommend this accessory to preserve your battery and save it for pictures/videos. I also highly recommend Accessory Genie, as they are very helpful, friendly, and communicate well. Fast and reasonable shipping, item as described, and friendly service are great attributes, and they represent Amazon well.

I ordered this to work with my Panasonic DMC-tz5 camera. It worked the first few times I used it. However, after returning from a trip and plugging in my camera to import the photos onto my PC, the camera would not turn on. It also became very hot to the left of the screen, near the AC input. It wouldn't turn on with my battery, either. I was mystified. The camera was under warranty and Panasonic replaced it with a reconditioned model. I just took some photos for the first time a minute ago and plugged in the camera to start the upload to my computer -- same thing. The camera won't turn on. In fact, the surge protector into which I'd plugged the adapter turned off. So now I'm back where I was. I wasn't using the cord improperly - I read the manual both times to see where to plug the product.

This replacement for the Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera (DMC-LX) worked well. And seems as good as the original that came with the camera.

The Power Adaptor works as it should, with no deficiencies. The adaptor has 2 parts: (1) transformer with cable to connect to the camera and (2) power cord to connect the transfromer to a wall outlet. The power cord supplied, did not have the correct jack to plug into the transformer. (polarized vs. non-polarized). This is an easy mistake to make as the two jacks look remarkably similar, but one which leaves the buyer with an un-usable power adaptor, unless he/she has a power cord which will fit (which I did).

This adapter looks and works the same as the OEM and its much less expensive. No need to spend more money on something that works the same. So if your on a budget like me this is the way to go.
