Would like to see these made a little sturdier to so they wouldn't have to be replaced. Not this products fault it is the design. A round or solid bottom instead of the three ears would make it last longer, I would think.
This was a good price for this item however.

Worked perfect and you don't need the self tapper screws the bottom is a hex that will hold a nut or bolt head.

When I first ordered these I didn't realize the connection posts are self-tapping. Brad from ASC Auto Parts was nice enough to point that out.

I purchased two items and had them delivered to my home for just a couple of dollars more than I had been paying for one item and having to drive to pick it up.

After doing a lot of research online and calling/visiting numerous local repair shops, I found this was the best place to get this part at the best price. It matched up perfectly just like the original.
I only wish that someone could explain why this part is made of such a fragile alloy instead of something more durable. If this was made of steel, I don't think we would be changing it as often. And don't bother looking for a steel one, they don't exist. I searched high and low, and they are all the same.
Again, I found this site to have the best valued price. My only complaint would be that the screws that hold the housing on ARE NOT included with this part. I had to go to one of my local small engine repair shops for the screws, which cost just as much as the spindle housing.

This is the second one of these I have had to replace, and while they fit very well as a replacement, they beak very easily. I snapped the first one by running over a small stick. It broke like peanut brittle. This one has lasted longer as I am very cautions when I mow now.
