About the Author
Currently studying at Yale Law School, Nabiha Syed
is interested in issues of economic development, community relations, human rights, & Islamic family law. Nabiha has demonstrated a commitment to her community through 13 years of Girl Scout service and international fundraising projects through Vision Xchange. As an Amnesty International Patrick Stewart Scholar, Nabiha studied the history of the Hudood Ordinances in Pakistan under the guidance of Justice Majida Razvi, which piqued her interest in women's rights & family law. Domestically, she has been very active in various Islamic forums, including the Muslim Public Affairs Council. Her honors thesis is on polygamy and Islamic family law in Malaysia, after working with Sisters in Islam.
