5.0 out of 5 stars Gary Tipton, my friend, September 12, 2008
This review is from: Tales of Majesty (Audio CD)
Sadly, at least for now, this is my only lasting contact with Gary. It was tragic that he left us at such a young age so many years ago. I treasure all the great memories of our time together and I have fond memories of watching him hard at work creating these musicial masterpieces. At times we could go for months without talking , since we lived far away from each other, but with just a phone call or one of his great letters, it was like we had not missed a minute. I believe that with God's love and mercy, I will be able to see him and talk to him again when it is my time to leave earth and when that happens, I am sure it will be like we hardly missed a beat. For now, I hope people can enjoy the treasure that Gary left us--his music is ironically HEAVENLY !!

I miss you Gary, Bob

5.0 out of 5 stars Soul Healing, October 14, 2005
This review is from: Tales of Majesty (Audio CD)
This album reaches the depths of my soul to a place where the spirit of my precious dog "Trucky", who died 2 months ago, will always remain. He was born at the time that Gary M. Tipton died. My sister gave me this album after Trucky passed away from cancer in August. She said had the album for a while and it was packed in some box somewhere - as they're moving right now. One day a few weeks ago her little 1 1/2 year old daughter brought it to her from some unknown place and said "Nonna" - which is how she says my name right now. My sister said s felt deeply impressed to send it to me. I now know why. I've just today gotten up the courgage to listen to it all the way through. So many days and hours of crying have made me afraid to open up in this musical way (as I'm a musician too - not of Gary's caliber thought!) This man must've had an uncanny and beautiful understanding of the cycle of life, death, and reuniting. How can I learn more about him? I'm moved by even just ihs eyes on the cover of the album. They remind me of the deep loving knowing eyes of my forever-dog Trucky. Thank you, Gary and family and friends for this beautiful gift of peace, hope, and deep understanding. Sincerely, Lonna Leno
P.S. Who does "Jewel" refer to in the dedication?

5.0 out of 5 stars Confused....Different CD, March 1, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Tales of Majesty (Audio CD)
I recently purchased Gary Michael Tipton's "Tales of Majesty" CD, but it doesn't resemble the one listed here. The one I purchased was originally released in 1991 and rereleased in 1999. The play list is different too. The songs on the CD I own are: "Arrival of the Chosen", "The Beauty of Life", "Ride to the Sea", "Garden of Innocence", "Fatherland", "Memories of Paradisa", "Homecoming", "Luna Paloma", "Of Wind and Wings", and "The Embrace". Is there another CD? Or is the playlist shown above incorrect?

5.0 out of 5 stars Spiritual and Uplifting, January 19, 2000

Gary Michael Tipton was a great artist and an even greater friend and influence to myself and many others, one of those people that you can meet once, and never forget. This album has a beautiful, pure, uplifting quality to it, just like Gary himself. My mother met him only briefly at my home, and commented that when Gary walked in, the whole room lit up. As listener, I would like to add that when you play this album, the whole room will light up as well, like sunlight through golden honey drizzling on vanilla ice cream. As a fellow artist, I would like to add that the performance, engineering, craftsmanship and attention to detail on this album are far above the norm.

Gary was taken from us much too soon by a DUI that struck him while he was riding his bicycle. It is my wish and the wish of many others that his journey here will continue with us through his music.

Take care, Gary. I will forever miss drumming with you with my hands, though I have since done so countless times in my heart. God bless.
