5.0 out of 5 stars A Real D.C. Story, August 6, 2008

Lucifer (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews
Ruthless corporate power brokers, tense congressional hearings, accusations of marital infidelity, shrill TV talking heads, high-tech spying, assassination attempts. It's all part of a normal day in Washington, DC. If you don't believe me, just read a few weeks of the Washington Post. And if you want to get it all of the above in one fast-paced legal thriller, read The Report to the Judiciary. Judge Sullivan has hit all of the angles in this novel that should appeal to a wide-variety of readers. It's worth it alone for the detailed and knowledgeable insight into the military and spy worlds that Judge Sullivan can provide like very few others.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Report to the Judiciary, October 13, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Report to the Judiciary Judge Sullivan writes straight from his gut and heart. There is no need for use of any second-hand information based on his extraordinary background as a West Point graduate, Airborne- / Ranger- (and instructor) qualified, VN combat veteran, White House counsel, and distinguished jurist. Both this book and his prior one, THE MAJORITY RULES, are fast-paced, totally realistic, intricately detailed (but well-explained) thrillers. They both kept me up late a few nights to seek the outcomes. I await the next one....or more !!!

5.0 out of 5 stars "The Report" is Outstanding, November 20, 2008
Judge Sullivan has matured from a good story teller ("The Majority Rules") to an exceptional writer. In "The Report ..." we are entertained with mystery, murder, deceit, power politics, racism and greed; tempered by some integrity, dedication and honesty - all conveyed in the caliber of Ken Follett, John Grisham, Vince Flynn, Nelson DeMille, et.al. At the same time we are educated with a tutorial on our Constitution, the separation of powers, adjudicatory processes - all working just as our founding fathers envisioned. And the hints of some very sophisticated intelligence gathering capabilities are remarkable. Clearly the Judge is keenly aware of Washington workings, makeup and intrigue. He has written a well crafted and entertaining book that reflects his wealth of experience and knowledge. What's next?
