5.0 out of 5 stars I'm a Reptile! February 25, 2009
By AJ
Format:Paperback
Musterman so perfectly captures the quirks of coffee shop employees and clientele as she explores the inner workings of the reptilian brain. It's a weird juxtaposition, but she pulls it off and leaves the reader searching for reptiles in strange places. A fun read that keeps you thinking, too!

I had the chance to review Brooke's book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. She has an amazing sense of humor and really informative. The tone on the book hovers just above the sarcastic which is what makes this book so much fun! It is worth the read and I would encourage anyone to pick it up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Experience immersion in the world of coffee addicts October 17, 2012
Format:Paperback
Musterman does a fantastic job exploring the world of coffee addicts from a unique perspective: the barista. The characters are colorful and the book was very entertaining. I found myself wishing I had been there. She ties in just enough addiction/brain science to really keep it intellectually stimulating. This was a wonderful read. Reading this book will give you all the entertaining benefits of being a barista without actually having to wake up at 430am.

5.0 out of 5 stars We all have reptilian brains! January 31, 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Just finished reading Brooke Musterman's REPTILES on CAFFEINE, her astute observations in a universal coffee shop. She's smart and clever sharing her life lessons about stress, invalidation, shoplifters and more. In fact, we might all have reptilian brains! An enjoyable read!

5.0 out of 5 stars "Tell them that it's Human Nature." January 15, 2010
Format:Paperback
Musterman has created a wonderful collection of human observations and quirky humor. I read this a year ago and I could NOT put it down. I recently had knee surgery and I will be reading this gem again for the mental stimulation. I am so looking forward to Musterman's next effort. This book is a classic!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quirkiness defined May 13, 2009
By FB
Format:Paperback
It is rare to find someone who can articulate the quirkiness of human nature, especially in certain sub cultures, and do it well. Musterman accomplished both!
