Book Description

June 1, 2010
It's completely unfair and not balanced whatsoever! Pete Von Sholly, creator of CAPITOL HELL, and political commentator Steve Tatham bring you cutting edge political satire just in time for the mid-term elections. So, if you're a card-carrying Republican, stop reading now. If not, you must get this book. Von Sholly puts UGLI into the Republican party with his all-new versions of top party leaders and apparatchiks. See Sarah Palin rendered as a vampire. McCain as a three-eyed freak. Glenn Beck as a half-brained zombie. Also including Lou Dobbs, Michele Bachmann, John Boehner and many, many others. Sholly's imagery coupled with wry commentary by Steve Tatham is a perfect gift for the Republican sitting in the cubicle next to you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious book, June 16, 2010

Someone mentioned that it's biased. Of course it is. That's the point. It even says that if you want more bipartisan criticism that you should go get a different book they wrote.

This is meant to be a hilarious look at all the things Republicans have done or said that ... well, makes them into monsters. It's real coverage -- they really did do what they book says they did -- but many of the entries are written with a large emphasis on humor.

If you want a real hard political book, find something else. If you want pure comedy and lots of it, buy this.

This is not only a great illustrated book, but political satire at its best -- both hilarious AND informative. I'm giving this to friends and relatives because, frankly, at this point we all need a good laugh. Love it.

Whenever I get upset over the latest destruction perpetrated by our Repuglican friends, all I have to do is flip through this book, and know I'm not alone. Thank you, Tatham and Van Sholly, for the laughs, so good for us yet so hard to find in today's politics!
