*~*IMPORTED from S. Korea*~* Roman Polanski created a truly scary movie with "Repulsion", without monsters and sudden loud bursts of music. Catherine Deneuve gives one of her best performances as the young, very beautiful Carol, who is so sexually repressed, and meets an attractive young man who wants to date her. This event puts her in a hyper-sensitive state, and then her sister leaves her alone in their apartment for a short trip with her boyfriend. Alone, she slowly goes mad with fantasies of being raped, and the movie is showing us what she sees and hears, what she experiences, from her point of view. The film is in Widescreen, with a great half-hour featurette "A British Horror Movie", in which Polanski, who also co-wrote the script, producers Gene Gutowski and Tony Tenser, cinematographer Gilbert Taylor, and Art director Seamus Flannery share their very interesting information and insights. The original trailer and Flannery's sketches for the production are included, in addition to the still pictures collection. The audio is in English only, and has optional Japanese and Korean subtitles.
