Momosuke visits his brother, only to find a murder mystery underway . . . a man has been killed in a rare manner. Ogin then faces her mother's killer, who has been dying and coming back to life, over and over again, terrorizing the local townspeople. After they are confronted by a formidable spectre, the group is charged with finding a lost bride. But the situation is more complex than they first thought and people are not who they seem!

Perhaps this isn't the time to write my review since I've already watched the entire series and perhaps my views would be less enthusiastic if I was just working my way though it. But the first DVD whetted my appetite for the others so much that I bought them practically immediately and watched straight through!

No, this one isn't for everyone so, if you like traditional, family-style or even regular "fighting" anime, this probably isn't for you. And, hey, that's okay. Sure, it has its moments of, "Oh, God, that's disgusting!" and it definitely addresses adult topics but it was way milder than, say, Berserk, Basilisk or Elfen Lied.

The use of colour and design are truly brilliant and this is on my "keeper" shelf since I know I'll be watching it again (and again). If you lean towards the experimental in your tastes, if you like Satoshi Kon's stuff, if you've seen tons of anime and want something new, give it a shot.

Its entertaining, the stories show the variety of evil that humans that do to each other for no other reason than that they can. The Anime could be better but you don't watch this series for the artwork.
