This is a new, digitally enhanced reprint of the classic vocal score prepared by Friedrich Brissler around 1880 and first issued by C. F. Peters in Leipzig. The vocal score was arranged from the well-known completion of Mozart's unfinished masterpiece done my his student Franz Xaver Süssmayr in 1792 at the request of Mozart's widow Constanze. Includes contents, instrumentation, and an English translation of the latin text in the frontmatter.

I was unpleasantly surprised to find many errors in this edition, at least in the solo soprano line. Fortunately, I was able to insert corrections from another edition. I can't imagine how this happened!

I was very impressed with this score. As a professional choral singer, I've seen 'em all... and there are far too many fuzzy, indistinct, crowded, tiny, etc. choral scores out there. This is a beautiful edition. The printing is crisp and clean, the spacing is good so that the lines don't run into one another, and the type is large enough that those of edging into the bifocal years shouldn't have many problems.

Turns out I need the Maunder completion, not the Sussmayr one, but I'm going to hang onto this anyway. Pretty sure it'll get use at some point and I don't want to pass up such a gorgeous score.
