5.0 out of 5 stars Mozart's Requiem is brilliant!
I am a huge fan of Mozart's Requiem K626. This score is great for a Mozart's Requiem fan. But, as said in other reviews, it would be pretty useles to someone who can't read music. But it's great for someone who likes to follow along with the chorus. It even give information on what parts Mozart composed. Mozart is my favorite composer, and this is a great product.

3.0 out of 5 stars No headers with movement titles
I love this piece, and this score is decent if you're just singing or playing through the piece, but it's frustrating if you don't know the piece very well because it doesn't have helpful headers or footers with the movement names on it. This is common in earlier Dover scores (I have a few with them but most do not have them), but at least this particular score does have...

Print is extremely small, but clear enough to follow. Not the ideal score to perform with, but rehearsal is OK.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mozart's most moving piece, faithfully reproduced, September 27, 2002

Mozart's Requiem is without a doubt his masterpiece, one can only imagine how it may have been had he a chance to finish it. This edition indicates which parts of the score were written by Mozart and which were by Sussmayer, his student. Any musician would agree that seeing the full score version of any piece can be insightful to the composers mood and thoughts when it was written., this in stark contrast to the popular trend among music publishers to condense an entire orchestral score into a keyboard/SATB layout.
I reccommend this book for musicians who have at least an basic understanding of musical notation. The layperson would likely be unable to do much other than stare at the pages. But for anyone who can follow along, it's always fun to read along with a recording and notice new flurries and nuances every time!

I wish there were some type of program notes or something to go with it- this is just the score and nothing else. Good edition though.

I love this piece, and this score is decent if you're just singing or playing through the piece, but it's frustrating if you don't know the piece very well because it doesn't have helpful headers or footers with the movement names on it. This is common in earlier Dover scores (I have a few with them but most do not have them), but at least this particular score does have measure numbers, which are VITAL if one is trying to rehearse a piece.

IMHO, all musical scores and parts should have measure numbers, so this score lucked out that it does, or else it would get only one star.

5.0 out of 5 stars Requiem in full Score, August 10, 2009
This review is from: Requiem in Full Score (Latin Edition) (Paperback)
The text here is well done. It is easy to read with large print. There is only one grouping per page, which has made it easy to follow along and not search to try to find where the next line you would like to view is. The is a masterpiece of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and this score has allowed me to learn more about one of his most respected works.

I am pleased with the score. It is complete and was as described. I am working on a term paper and this will definately help with my presentation. This will definately give the player or not the magitude of what goes into an orchestral schore.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really nice to have..., July 13, 2004
This review is from: Requiem in Full Score (Latin Edition) (Paperback)
I was very happy when I had the opportunity to follow along and read the music throughout the entire Requiem. For a person who can read music, this book was intriguing and inspiring. It was also of interest that the book shows the transition from Mozart to that of Sussmayer. Mozart was truely inspired from the beginning to end. This book is great! Although I must agree, that those who can't read music would most likely find this book rather useless.

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst experience ever with AMAZON, March 12, 2010

This review is from: Requiem in Full Score (Latin Edition) (Paperback)
I have been deeling with Amazon for well over 10 years. My last experience with
A1 Books was the worst I have ever had. I am a symphony conductor and desparately
needed a score. Rather than taking the usual week to 10 days delivery this
arrived 21 days later. Don't buy anything from them!

Requiem is the last job of the Mozart, from this song we can review the life of Mozart, and his faith of fight against the death, even he lost.
