5.0 out of 5 stars just amazing.., August 22, 2002

i bought this album when it first arrived on shelves, and this is probably one of the best albums i own. 'the rescue' breaks every boundary placing codeseven in their own genre of music. something definitely worth buying, and something definitely worth sharing with a friend. i almost feel as if i'm cheating the band by only paying so much for the album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easily one of the best bands out there., April 17, 2003

Codeseven is one of the best bands I've ever come across. This is music that takes you to a better place, in other words good music. It makes the music genres that are popular today seem ridiculous and worthless. I am a member of your audience Codeseven, Rock on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Once again, Codeseven blows me....away, July 1, 2002
This review is from: Rescue (Audio CD)
The Rescue has been released almost 3 years since their last cd. Over that time, Dave Owen left the band (reasons still unknown)which left Codeseven with the ability to redefine themselves. Which is exactly what they did. Instead of placing emo on top of hardcore, they are delving into a whole new genre. Some call it Space Rock, others call it 'psychadelic post punk'. There still remains emo-ish screams, but without them, it wouldn't be the same band, or the same music. Codeseven has once again broken boundaries by putting together an album with original sound (none of this nickleback, lifehouse, the calling ...). Some people remain in waiting until Codeseven go completely soft, while others are patiently waiting for a complete turn around. I personally would love for them to put out some completely instrumental songs, or even just produce some instrumental versions of some past songs. But that is only one hearts desire...

5.0 out of 5 stars 8 Full tracks of Codeseven at their apex, May 24, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Rescue (Audio CD)
the Rescue is Codeseven at their pinnacle of musical composition and every track on this album is a blessing to hear..... do not compare the rescue to previous albums because it is a completely different angle of approach that the band has taken in writing music.... the rescue is exactly what the title represents......the listener is rescued

4.0 out of 5 stars The depressant for a overdose on Bi polar Hardcore music, October 21, 2002

This review is from: Rescue (Audio CD)
I thought the album would be another hardcore band with a deftones influence but the album and a differnet tune then most. The songs are pretty much mellow and don't contain a sentence of cheap riffs. They take their time with the songs It's an album that every hardcore fan needs for when you just want to relax to a good record and have a nice Mike's Hard Lemonade.
