4.0 out of 5 stars Mother of 3 boys, November 3, 2005

This review is from: Rescue Heroes Action Max Team - Jake Justice & Police Patroller (Toy)
I bought this toy for my 3 boys (twins 2 1/2) and a 4 1/2 year old. All 3 boys seem to enjoy it and it seems like a good value for a $15 toy. My only disappointment is that it doesn't move for very long..maybe 5 seconds and then you have to press the button again. Other than that and the loud noise (which I guess I am used to already in my house), I think it is a great toy and will be buying the other action max toys for Christmas.

This review is from: Rescue Heroes Action Max Team - Jake Justice & Police Patroller (Toy)

My son his a HUGE Rescue Hero fan. He has over 30 action figures, 3 command centers and almost all the vehicles they have made in the past few years. Of course after seeing these new Action Max line of toys he had to have one. After coming home and taking this toy out of the box about 4 weeks ago it has not been played with much since. That first day it had some novelty, but that quickly wore off a few days later. He plays with his other Rescue Heroes everyday for hours, but this one sits in his room and is now collecting dust. My complaints are that the toy is very loud. Also the leg motion of the toy, the walking action sometimes gets stuck. I moved the legs around, jiggled them a bit and it seemed to work properly after turning the toy on and off. I have had nothing but praise for Rescue Hero items but I am not sold on this new line. Also the action figure is not like the regular action figures. So the figure can have the arm movement "action" look the arms have several loose joints. They just sort of hang there real loose and you can't pose them or use it as with other actions figures. Really without the vehicle the action figure isn't much fun. This was a disappointment and not of the quality the Rescue Heroes normally are. My son has a few of the other Action Max vehicles on his Christmas list but after having this one sitting unplayed with for a month I am not so sure Santa will bring them......I would rather spend the money and go on Ebay and find one of the older, better made action figures or vehicles that he doesn't have.
