My 2 kids (ages 5 and 11) love this thing. It did take some effort to put together, but it's not as difficult as some make it out to be. All you have to do is follow the directions which were well written. The thing is huge. Plenty of features to keep the kids interested for a long time. Yes, you do have to buy the rescue hero guys separately, so what. As a parent, you have to learn to READ THE BOX to see what's included when buying any toy for your kids. Nothing worse than getting a great toy home not having everything you need (like batteries or action figures). The action figures are great "heroes" for the kids to play with. My 5 yr old has told all the kids at school all about this fun toy. He can't wait to play with it when he comes home. No I don't own stock, but the other two reviews are IMHO pretty far from our experience with the toy.

This toy looked so exciting on the package. I purchased it for my 4 1/2 year old because he loves Rescue Heroes. We have about 20 rescue hero figures, plus animals, plus the large fire truck, police car and the atv. I thought this would be the perfect addition to their set. It wasn't!!!!! It is all plastic first of all and please, don't make a mistake putting it together -- you CANNOT take it back apart and fix it if you make a mistake the first time. Secondly there are about 30 parts. With the exception of the voice system there is absolutely nothing to do with this toy. My son is currently screaming because the lift comes off with no effort at all -- and it doesn't pull up things that weigh more then an ounce without falling off the garage. The pieces all come off. Only buy this toy if you enjoy watching your children get frustrated and more frustrated by teh second with this toy!!! For $70.00 I'm very disappointed. in Fact, I'm returning this toy first thing tomorrow -- it isn't even worth $20.00 in my opinion. Rescue Heroes are excellent in my opinion due to their large size -- they are perfect for small hands and are very well built -- but this particular part of their set bombed out in my house!!!!!

I bought this for my nephew's 3rd birthday. He was so suprised when he saw it and he wouldn't stop playing with it. He was using the "cat condo" for the Heroe's to run their missions before he got the MACC. I know the cats are thankful for this gift. I think it's a great toy if you have a Rescue Hero fanatic in your house. However, like others have stated, the crane is not very sturdy, and that's my nephew's favorite part of the toy. Whenever he tries to use it the whole thing pops off of the top of the command center. I was having to hold it on while he played with it. Hopefully his grandpa can rig it so it works for him. Luckily I got this on sale at Toys R Us for $29.99 so I'm not so put out by this designing flaw since grandpa will find a way to make it work. But I do feel for those who spent $69.99 on this toy. I would not recomment paying that kind of price for this type of quality. All in all its a fun toy for the Rescue Hero's fan in your house but it does require a little aftermarket repair on your part for it to function properly.

I am really surprised at the other reviews on this product as we think it is GREAT! It gives a different dimention of play to our Rescue Heroes allowing us to bring in all the other Rescue Hero vehicles to the story like the helecopter, Jet, Fireturck etc. This toy does take a little while to put together, maybe 20 minutes. It is very sturdy (which I LOVE) and like all the Rescue hero command centers will allow several kids to play at one time around this big toy. Like the aqua command center, it does take up some room, but can be compacted a little for storage.RESCUE HERO CENTERS AND VEHICLES NEVER COME WITH RESCUE HERO FIGURINES for those of you who, like the other reviewer thinks they will get what is pictured on the box. If your family likes Rescue Heros, this command center will be a great gathering place for all your little one's "guys". I highly recommend this toy!!!

First the negative. The men that go with this, the RH Mission Select men are no longer made. They are difficult to find and the after market price is, in some cases, higher than the price for new RH. The only other negative is that for the price it would have been nice to have some 'cubbies' to store back packs, etc.
Now the Positive. If you have Mission Select Rescue Heroes then this is a great toy. The figures talking back and forth to each other offer a new level to the play. But the talking figures DOES NOT take away from the imagination and play of your child. It merely provides a backdrop for their play. This is not as big as the other command center boat. That is a large positive in my mind and it even folds down a bit when not in use. Note, not folds down to carry around, it just folds into itself a bit making it a bit more compact. Contrary to one review this was not difficult to set up. It took a young boy age 7 and his mother less than 30 minutes to get up and running ready for play. The directions are clear and easy to follow. Every part of this, even the back, has something for the rescue heroes. There is a climbing wall and a search light (doesn't really work too bad!) and a crane to life cars or people or animals (according to my son) up to the top of the roof. The rescue heroes and all the accompanying items such as the command center are very fun. They are positive characters that save lives. They are large so small hands can easily play with them and yet there is enough 'small items' like backpacks that even older children can have fun switching the backpacks around and so on. Every piece in this set, the Rescue Heroes and the Command Center has been well played with and has stood up well to hours of play. Enjoy.

Ok, we got this last year for my 5 year old son, it is a bit to put together, but IT IS EXTREMELY DURABLE!!! trust me, after a year of not only the 5 year old, but twin 3 year olds and a 1 year old.. it has survived more than its fair share,a nd still looks brand new. It is a great addition to all the rescue hero stuff, the firetruck fits nicely, as does the helicopter.. i would defintiely suggest this to tie it all together!!!!! My crew has had a blast with this, the rescue heroes are Great for saving all those barbies from a fate worse than death!!!!
I have to say out of any toy we ahve purchase the resuce hero sets are BY FAR the most durable, and fun!!!!

We love Rescue Heros at our house!!! I have 2 boys (age 4 & 2). The 4 year old has the big boat command center so we decided to get the 2 year old the Mission Select MACC. Unfortunantly, this command center is a serious disappointment. Like previous reviews, it was slightly difficult to put together - when apart, all the pieces look alike. Now that its together, this toy is not sturdy. Our "boat" command center can take a serious beating, but this one rocks and sways like crazy. There is a "trap" door on the back side that does NOT fit and won't stay shut and the vehicle ramp does not stay on the "hinges". Also, the elevator won't go all the way up or down without force. We have a full collection of RH figures and vehicles because my boys LOVE them, but I have to admit, I am very diappointed in this command center - more because of the sturdiness issue. If my 2 year old weren't so excited about having his own command center, [...].

I bought this for my son's 4th birthday. I think this toy is great and my son enjoys it, but enjoys his mission select fire truck more right now. He played with it non-stop for a couple of days and now it has slowed down. However, I think that this is the type of toy that my son will keep coming back to and enjoy it in different ways as his play and imagination develops. Although you do need the "mission select" figures to use the command center and vehicles to their full potential, the "voice tech" figures also work (they do not state specific missions). I found that it had a lot of pieces but was not too difficult to put together, it took me about 45 minutes (not including putting on the stickers). It is huge, so make sure you have a space for it. I love that a few kids can be playing at the same time due to all the different areas! I got this toy on clearance for [$$$] so I am very pleased with its value for what I got! I don't think I would pay [$$$] for it, however.

I know one main complaint was that there are no more Mission Select Rescue Heroes figures left in stores, as they were discontinued, and some of the aftermarket prices were getting up there (especially Rocky Canyon, the hardest to find in the set). Well, the Robotz figure line that is in stores now features figures with the same connectors on their back, so you can get them to talk. I don't know if it will be the main phrases that would be said if you had the Mission Select figures, but they will talk. For instance, when I hook a Mission Select backpack from Billy Blazes (the only Mission Select figure we have) up to Rocky Canyon, Rocky says a phrase for each turn of the dial. They sound like the follow up phrases, as if he was the second figure communicating with another mission select figure, but you still get some voice interaction!! The Mission Select, Voice Tech, and Robotz figures should all come with the same metal contacts on their backs (except the ones like Robotz Gil Gripper, whose robot stands alone and does not connect to him), so they will all work in some way with each other's items.
As for the MACC, it's definitely the center of the Rescue Heroes world, being the biggest playset released from the toy line to date. While it may not be the most exciting, it gives your children a central area to congregate the figures and vehicles. At least it can keep the figures from being all over the house! I think for the size and money, it could have featured some trap doors or compartments, but the elevator and Mission Command voices from RH leader Warren Waters are all you get.

My son turned four on Sunday (11-21-04) And we got him this, because he had been going on and on about how much he wanted! I am so glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews over my son's request!! He is loving this, and when I pick him up after work the first thing out of his mouth was "I want to go home and play with my Rescue Hero Command Center" And I have no doubt that today will be the say thing!! My only saddens is that we are having trouble finding the Rescue Hero Mission Select guys--- We have Billy Blazes and Gil Gripper and he has Jack Hammer Robotz version that seems to be working well with the command Center. So I would love insight on where to find the men. If you have a Rescue Heroes Fan get this and have fun playing with them!! We have!!
