This is a hilarious read into a 50-something's return to the world of dating, the latest derring do's and don'ts of the mature singles scene. It is a laugh out loud experience for all women going the travails of having, losing,or imagining what it means to have middle-aged sex appeal and if the youth-at -all-costs philosophy will keep us warmly snuggled into old age. Highly recommend for fun reading.

OMG! I'm still laughing! I can imagine myself getting stuck in the dating situations Sherry describes and not being able to find my way out! I was delighted to read about how to cut a date off at the knees the minute you know you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. She's always polite and kind, too. I only wish I knew then (when I was dating) what I learned from this book! Well, if it ever becomes an issue, I now have my User's Guide. Excellent read. Excellent re-read, too.

Sherry Halperin writes (with great wit), about her dating angst over a span of ten years after losing her much loved husband at an early age. The variety and number of LOSER's that she runs into during that period of time is sobering though. The odds are stacked very much in favor of men as we get older. There are lots of bright articulate, attractive women to go around, but their male counterparts are few in number. I am passing this book around to all my single girlfriends who agree, dating after 50 can be hazardous to your mental health. It's far better to surround yourself with good friends than to look for Mr. Right. Mr. Right at this age has a far greater chance of being Mr. Wrong! But for all those men out there, with bald pates, potbellies, and marginal personalities..the world is your oyster! M. Schmit Phoenix AZ

This book is very funny describing in detail all the wonderful dates the author has encountered. As unique as her individual stories are, all us single folks, 50 and older, can relate. And the humorous side of dating after 50 is a huge concern and this book makes it easier to keep trekking to find that perfect mate without the "moose horns".

Having spent time in the dating scene before the advent of computer dating services, I found the author's descriptions hilarious and interesting. I did find my "Mr Right," but it took a lot of dates with unsuitable persons before a good match was made. I gained insight to dating services and computer dating from this funny book.

I am under 50 and still found your story to mirror mine and many of my friends. I can relate to all the highs and lows, the anticipation and then the disappointment. Thak you for sharing your experiences with us, its comforting to know we're all together in living.

This wonderful book is a hallarious and all-too-poignant commentary on our contemporary social scene. Sherry captures the essence of human relationships. An enjoyable read for all . . .
