I was kind of worried after watching season 4 it wasn't as good as the first 3 seasons. I feared the show had reached it's peak. Season 5 shot that idea down quick,fast,and in a hurry! I am currently working in Iraq (not in the milatary)so I don't get to see them til they come out on DVD. I was disappointed when I saw it was only 1 of 2. But I got the first so late I didn't have too long before to 2nd was out. Back to the review everything you loved about seasons 1-3 is back. The action,drama,and most of all comedy is back and better than ever. You will be glad you didn't give up on the series. A must have for anyone who likes a show.

This season has to be my favorite so far. I loved the sheild and 24 but this show and hbo carnivale have the best writting ever. Get the dvds and you will see what I am talking about.

I really enjoy this series. This dvd came in great shape,and in a timely manner. was very pleased with this purchase.

This is one of the best developed comedies on TV today. Well written with all the booze, smoke, drama, & sex. The crew is back together again, with Tommy and his share of uncomfortable moments.

I ordered this for my boyfriend and son and they laugh like crazy. This is season five and both have one thru four. If you are a guy and want to laugh start with this series.

There is a surprising at the end of this one. This show is one that doesn't let go of any feelings or hurt what so however. They make a point and stick with it. I love this show! I can't hardly wait for the next season!

Love Denis Leary and Rescue Me. This show is top notch! I am extremely impressed with everything about this show from the writing, to the acting, to the stunts, to the casting. I usually don't follow series on TV but someone recommended this show to me and I got hooked from the first episode. Every season so far has been great and Season 5 vol 2 is as good as ever. The only negative is the huge cliffhanger the show leaves off on and now having to wait until June to find out what happens next.

I've always felt that RESCUE ME was one of the best written, directed and acted series on television, but the creators faltered during this 5th Season.

There are still some truly memorable moments in many of the episodes. A scene between Andrea Roth and Callie Thorne in the firehouse still brings a smile to my face every time I think about it, as does a sequence with the guys at a supermarket.

I think that the problem with this season is that it ran 22 episodes, rather than the usual 13, and the writers/producers did not come up with enough story to fill it. Thus, the plot moves forward at a snail's pace, and there are too many scenes which are just marking time.

The season finale is certainly a cliff-hanger.

Hopefully, Season 6 will be better.

Too bad they stopped making this show. We really enjoyed Rescue Me. We were very sad to see it go away. I hope they revive this in the future.

I bought this as a gift, but never had a complainant about damage or skipping. Packaging was not damaged when arrived.
