When disaster strikes, the TRANSFORMERS PLAYSKOOL HEROES FIRE STATION PRIME Playset springs into action. The RESCUE BOTS roll out ready for any rescue adventure that may come their way. From the farthest reaches of the galaxy, the station's super-advanced computer allows OPTIMUS PRIME to command the RESCUE BOTS so everyone is ready to go save the day. This fire station comes with a CODY BURNS figure, firing water cannon, HEATWAVE THE FIRE-BOT vehicle, and storybook.
Designed for kids three and up, FIRE STATION PRIME isn't just a fire station--it's also a robot in disguise. Whether it's an ordinary fire or a secret mission, the HEATWAVE THE FIRE-BOT vehicle and CODY BURNS figure have the two-in-one station they need.
Little hands can easily change the fire station to the OPTIMUS PRIME robot figure when the adventure needs a robot hero to take charge. A simple press of the button delivers lights, sounds, and 12 different phrases, including "Let's roll out and save the day!"
When things heat up, the CODY BURNS figure is ready to take the hero elevator to the top of the fire training tower and slide down the fire pole. The firing "water cannon" stands ready to tackle any emergency and the garage doors open and close for a swift response.
For added fun, a hidden robot on the underside of HEATWAVE THE FIRE-BOT vehicle is ready to spring into action.
The fire station folds to close and includes a top handle for easy cleanup and portable play. For continued fun, the included storybook extends the adventures to bedtime.

I like this toy because it is durable. We have owned similar sets that fall apart as quick as you build them. There is nothing more frustrating. This set also includes some sound effects, and things that "shoot". My kids like things that shoot. If you have a child that likes transformers, and enjoys make believe, this may be a good set. I show how the set works in my video review, if you are looking for more detail on the extras. After saying that, I side on the 2.5/3 stars because the shooters were weak, and I think the replay value falls short. The other thing that frustrates me is that there isn't enough pieces included in the set to keep a child interested. If you are going to show the set with these pieces, they should be included. They are not. I looked into this, and additional pieces are 10+ dollars. This becomes quite an investment, especially if you are not sure the child will like it. Also, I would put the recommended age at 4-5. I would say that even though this toy is well built, skip this item and look at the Imaginext products. They are a sure bet. My kids LOVE transformers, and I still do not think this is the product to bet Christmas on.

I got this as a gift for my girlfriend's nephew. He loves firemen, firetrucks, firehouses, etc. In fact, he had his recent birthday at a local firehouse that offers a up close look at all of the equipment and trucks. He loved it and his friends thought it was the coolest. So of course, he wanted a rescue heroes fireman related item. At first I wasn't sure if this was quite the right pick, but after seeing his face - this was the perfect gift. There are electronic sounds for the sirens and little plastic flames for the trucks to pretend putting out. This item, for the money, offers a ton of extras that many others in this price range do not. He isn't really into transformers, but after playing with this - you would've never guessed that. All and all, I couldn't have found a better gift.

This toy is a Transformers variation of a common toy which takes the form of a fortress/castle or batcave type structure. It comes with a fire engine transformer which doesn't actually transform. It just a transformer body imprinted on the bottom. It makes some lights and sounds but has poor replay value and was abandoned by my kids after two days of play. I think the Batcave version of this toy has better replay value due to the compartments and figures that it comes with.
