A Kid's Review
This review is from: Rescue The Scientists - Retail Boxed (DOS) (CD-ROM)
The most influential game of my childhood is an understatement if I'm talking about this game. Let me start off by saying that I am not a child. I am 22 years old but am just to lazy to have an account on here. Anyway, back to the review. In this game you are a boy (or a girl your choice)whose mom wants you to go to the "junk store" to get a part for your hottub. So you go right away (good little boy) and fetch the part she needs. The junk shop lady tells you she doesn't have the part but she does have this other thing that she thinks will work. Elsewhere, there are aliens that have hatched a plot to capture the earths greatest scientists throughout history by time travelling and they think that no one can stop them. Right. So back on earth you install the part to the hotub and begin to take a bath. He turns on the the tv that hangs above the hottub and suddenly him and the hottub are wisked away into the time stream. The story of this game isn't its only good feature. The graphics are colorful and vibrant and just all around fun to look at. The music (provided by someone called "The fatman") is extremely entertaining and well written. The gameplay itself is superb! The main levels are simple but imaginative platformers while the mini levels are puzzles that are both educational and creative. The best part of this game is that it has Christopher Loyd in it! He talks you through your new missions and help you defeat the alien menace! This game is a true classic and will be enjoyed by those who own it for years to come.
