About the Author

Jon Batson has had five complete musicals produced in Hollywood and has had music on television, including Murder She Wrote, The Tonight Show and Midnight Special. He is a long time member of ASCAP both as a publisher and songwriter. Along the way Jon has written articles for several songwriter publications and organizations, as well as The Songwriter’s Hook Book, a journal for aspiring songwriters, filled with songwriting tips and famous quotes on the subject. Given the philosophy that if you don’t grow, you shrink, he began writing stories as well. He is a three time winner of the Lower Cape Fear Short Story Contest and has twice received Honorable Mention in the Writers of the Future contest.
