think Melvins meets Meat Puppets. Stoned distorted baritone guitar riffs are the main driving force, while the drummer flails all over the place. At first I found the drumming a bit distracting, but ultimately I think it keeps this duos ep from sounding too same-y. The songs are all quite short - while I appreciated that they never ran out of steam, the definitely could have extended a jam or two. High pitched vocals about aliens and god knows what else - Geddy Lee comparisons might be inevitable. Hopefully these dudes won't start writing 12-part epics about black holes. All in all, I am looking forward to checking out their next, presumably full-length effort. "Spaceships" is probably the standout track.
