I purchased this LP when it was first released in the 80's. I enjoyed it then....I recently found this CD and I continue to enjoy it!!!

On this CD, there is Smokey Robinson (You're My Hero) Jeffery Osborne (Love Power) Howard Hewitt (Another Chance To Love) June Pointer of the Pointer Sisters (Heartbreak Of Love) and the origninal version of "No One In The World" popularize by Ms. Anita Baker in the 80's. Dionne's version was first and appeared orginally on here 1985 LP "Finder of Loves Loves". IT'S EXCELLENT!!!

Producers range from Barry Eastmond to Smokey Robinson to Burt Bacharach. Good Project during the Arista years for Dionne. Great songs!!!

In a certain way, this 1987-released album can be viewed as Dionne Warwick's duet album. The duets with Jeffrey Osborne ("Love Power"), Smokey Robinson ("You're My Hero"), Howard Hewett ("Another Chance To Love") and the late June Pointer ("In A World Such As This") are the proverbial perfect marriage of Adult Contemporary and Soul. While Dionne was certainly nowhere near as big a star in the late 1980s as she had been during the 1960s she still had plenty to offer and would continue to record for Arista Records until 1995.

The album "Reservations for Two" is one of the best modern Pop albums I have heard! The album from a production wise is Pop, Adult Contemporary and Smooth Jazz. Sophisticated and sentimental songs benefit greatly from Dionne's keen lyrical interpretation. The excellent production suits Dionne's voice very well! All the duets are effective including the hit singles "Love Power" with Jeffrey Osborne and albums' title track with Kashif. Dionne's Pop version of "No One In The World" later a major hit for Anita Baker, is fabulous! The self empowering message behind "In a World Such As This" adds to enjoyment of this song. A consistent, enjoyable album that is highly recommended!

About 42 minutes of classic Soul R&B. Nice version of Love Power - props to Luther (duet with Jeffrey Osborne and solo with Kenny G). Other singers doing duets with Dionne are Smokey Robinson, Howard Hewett, Kashif, June Pointer of the Pointer Sisters. See song list and other review in 1988 CD listing. This CD would do fine in a mix for dancin' and romancin'.
