Although I am very new to Christian rock, Manic Drive has quickly become one of my favorites. I saw them perform live at the 7:30 Club in Mechanicsville, MD. I arrived to the club during their sound check. I was impressed from there, added to the fact that Michael the guitarist did the Robot the whole set. My favorite songs are NYC Gangsters, with it's great mix of clear vocals and heavy guitar riffs and Dancefloor, which is well named. Reset and Rewind is a great addition to any growing Christian rock collection, even for us newbies.

I was truly surprised by this CD. This music/band would appeal to any age group. My daughters introduced this group to me and I'm in my 50's.

I heard some of their songs on the radio, which caused me to get this album. I like the whole CD, which is rare.

These guys have been out for a while, but I've never heard of them. Most stations around here play the same old middle-of-the-road "safe" stuff ... safe in that it sounds like everything else out there that's already a hit. These guys don't sound like ANYONE else I've ever heard. And that's not a bad thing at all in this case.
Some people are calling this "Nu-metal", but it doesn't resemble metal at all to me. It's more like very heavy rock with a slight techno feel, very odd vocal progressions (which work quite well, actually), and a very progressive edge. If you were ever into "thinking-man's music" (Styx, Kansas, Yes, etc.), then this is worth a shot, but don't expect the same old sound of the 70's! These guys are all about the bleeding edge of the sound of music - cutting their own way through the industry with a very original sound. Of the 3 albums so far, my favorite is "Reset and Rewind". The first one is great, but the second one is even better. The third, "Blue" is just a "Best of" with a few additions, and the additions sound a little more techno than the other songs. My personal choice is the first two over the latest for this reason. But none of it is bad! This group has presently become a favorite of mine, but judge for yourself.

Most of the songs are on the "Blue" Album. If you get one Album, buy "Blue".

I saw Manic Drive in concert with Pillar, and I was blown away by their energy and their unique sound. After checking out the CD, I am amazed I hadn't heard of them before. If you like Rock with a unique sound, this is definitely for you.
