Experience the thrill and terror of the infamous Resident Evil franchise like never before with the Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition. Featuring Chris Redfield of the original Resident Evil and new partner Sheva Alomar, a West African agent of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA), this sci-fi action/survival game is packed with hordes of fast-moving, quick-thinking enemies that represent a whole new breed of unimaginable undead evil. The Gold Edition features every exciting play option found in the initial releases of the game, including two-player co-op, powerful new weapons and real-time inventory management between players, but also includes all RE5 console version download content released to date. This includes new episodes and costumes, an improved Mercenaries Mode, and online versus mode.
From the ashes of old conflicts, a new terror arises. The Umbrella Corporation and its crop of lethal viruses have been destroyed and contained, but a new, more dangerous threat has emerged. Years after surviving the events in Raccoon City, Chris Redfield has been fighting the scourge of bio-organic weapons all over the world. Now a member of the Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance (B.S.A.A.), Chris is sent to Africa to investigate a biological agent that is transforming the populace into aggressive and disturbing creatures. Joined by local BSSA agent, Sheva Alomar, the two must work together to solve the truth behind the disturbing turn of events. Exciting Two-Player Co-op Mode The new cooperative gameplay element focuses on the realities of a dual-agent mission, highlighting the ways in which Redfield and Alomar must work together to survive the unexpected, while still allowing them to split up and work alone. To help you maximize the potential of this setup, two-player online and offline co-op modes ensure that you have options when aligning yourself with a partner. New Episodes Episodes and Costumes In addition to all the campaign gameplay content included in the initial standard console release, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition also includes two all-new episodes. These include "Lost in Nightmares" in which Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine journey back to the Spencer Mansion from the original Resident Evil to solve its puzzles, and uncover the secrets of the Umbrella Corporation; and "Desperate Escape", featuring Jill Valentine and BSAA agent Josh Stone fighting to escape the Tricell facility, and the unrelenting waves of enemies at their heels. The Gold Edition also adds two new costume packs containing a total of four new costumes. These new costumes feature full playability both in-game and in cutscenes, ensuring that Gold Edition players always fight evil in style. Online Versus Mode now Included Originally available only as an additional digital content download, the Resident Evil 5 online versus mode comes packaged along with the Gold Edition. In it players with Xbox LIVE Gold memberships take control of Chris, Sheva and other RE5 favorites in online battles of up to four players where the choice is yours whether to fight alone or with a team in two game variations which include "Slayers", where you compete for points by defeating the zombie Majini, and "Survivors", where you fight against human competition. Mercenaries Reunion Mercenary Mode, was an unlockable mode available at the end of the single player campaign in the original releases of the game that hearkened back to the franchises roots in the Horror genre. Mercenaries Reunion is an updated version of that mode included in the Gold Edition. It is an all-out, arcade style zombie fest in which players must eliminate as many enemies as they can in a limited amount of time, using only the weapons and ammo that is found in the play environment, and a curtailed number of inventory slots. Available both offline and online, Mercenaries Reunion features eight new playable characters and weapon load outs, providing players with additional opportunities and challenges. An Unprecedented Level of Fear Co-producer and series veterans Jun Takeuchi (Lost Planet) and Masachika Kawata (Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles) unleash an unprecedented level of fear for the next generation in Resident Evil 5, the sequel to one of the highest-rated video games in history according to Metacritic.com and Gamerankings.com. Revolutionizing the series with an unbelievable level of detail, realism and control, Resident Evil 5 is certain to bring new fans to the series as well as satisfy veteran players. These incredible changes to both the gameplay and world of Resident Evil make this a must-have game for gamers across the globe. Key Features

This package is actually good,
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition (Video Game)
I realize that it's frustrating to have gone out and bought the game only to find it's the original Resident Evil 5 with a token for the downloadable content. But actually, if you don't already own the game, it's a really good deal. It's cheaper than how much the game was when it first came out, and the extra content is free with the token, so you really save money. So yes, Capcom wasn't clear about how this package worked, but I still rate it 5 stars because it's still a great game with a good storyline, great graphics, tons of replayability, and now extras that can be downloaded.

Resident Evil 5:Gold Edition is certainly a great idea if you do not already own the game being as it comes with the game itself,being cheaper than the game was before, and comes with the expansions that add to massive playability compared to the older game. Now a quick warning that if you already own the game don't go whining about how you were cheated at buying the same game twice, CAUSE THAT'S WHAT IT IS! This is merely the same game with all the expansions freely included, and the rights to having a cooler looking box cover than your friends whom hastily bought it when it first came out.
Versus Mode-This is really four different game modes to play with up to 3 other people besides yourself. You can do a little team deathmatch or deathmatch itself and try to kill the opposing players with monsters running around. Slayers and Team slayers are where you fight to get a much higher score than the other players by killing enemies. Lost in Nightmares-This is an expansion scenario in which it explains Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine's adventure before resident evil 5 and explains a little bit more on how it happened. This expansion is fun and comes with a classic mode*(see bottom) which gives a little bit of "nostalgic" feel to the game. Desperate Escape-This expansion explains how Josh Stone and Jill Valentine escape the tricell institute and come back to save Sheva and Chris at the end of the game. This expansion is pretty fun with lots of action and certainly adds to the replayablility with a brand new character to play as. Mercenaries Reunion-Just wow, this expansion adds onto the massive hit on the Resident Evil 5 game by increasing the great fun it previously was. More enemies, More Melee attacks, Team attacks, Cool New music, and EIGHT (yes 8!) brand new characters to play with in mercenaries with some of your buddies. Eight New Characters-Chris(warrior)Chris(Heavy Metal)Sheva(Fairy Tale)Sheva(Business Suit)Josh Stone, Excella Gionne are a few of the new characters in mercenaries including Rebbecca Chambers(Co-star's of Resident Evil 0-1) and Resident Evils very own Barry Burton are also joining the Frey. All in all this is a great deal if you do not own the game already, but if you do it might be best just to go buy some microsoft points. =) *classic mode simply means being a fixed camera like the origional resident evils, only for die hard fans, if your interested try checking up some of the origional resident evils on youtube.

Honestly, what were you expecting? Most of the controls were made that way to make it realistic. The shaking hands? That's completely normal even on experienced officers. Not firing from the waist? You would lose accuracy that way so what's the point? Dodge jump? just stop aiming and run, not too complicated. "You can NOT grab an infected and brutally hack him to pieces, like you are gutting a pig."? Seriously what's wrong with you. Not being able to walk while you aim? Same as from the waist, lost of accuracy.
Your opinion is ok for you, but it is not ok enough to be affecting the choice of the rest of the people. This stays a great game on the saga. As an extra, i got my non-gamer sister to play this with me and now she even plays on pro. Complaints vs non-gamer sister playing now on pro. Your argument is invalid. PD.: Sorry for any typo, i'm sleepy after playing the extras. 2115|R3V18RF3QFSEP9;2115|R3SEDXARK47D9I;2115|RARYZ2854VZVZ;
