5.0 out of 5 stars Resident Evil Books
I think the books were a complete succsess to all fans of the smash hit vidio game series. The books gave me more details on what happend in the Resident Evil 1&2 games because I did not understand too much of the plot. The books were a good use of my money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very Itchy But Not That Tasty.......!?
It was good but they skip to many parts. They really don't show the progression of the scenes. If you are a collector or like comics than you should get it. But if you want the full story than get the novels By S.D. Perry.

Great adaptations of the Resident Evil games and even better, there are new stories based on all of my favorite characters. Great stories, amazing art. This was cool.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Pleasing Comic Adaption of the Greatet Series Ever, March 13, 2000
This review is from: Resident Evil: Collection One (Paperback)
If you have ever liked either comic books or the Resident Evil series then you better pick up a copy of this book. The stories are enjoyable and well drawn. They also give a bit of background on what might have happened after both RE1 and RE2. So check it out unless you're not a comic book fan in which case go out and buy the Resident Evil novels by S.D. Perry.

2.0 out of 5 stars 'Danger Island'? Come On...., March 8, 2001
By
This review is from: Resident Evil: Collection One (Paperback)
Now, I've got to say that I am a die hard fan of the Resident Evil series. I even bought a dreamcast system JUST to play the 4th installment of it. I import the rare stuff from Japan that I can barely afford! When I picked up the comic I was completely ashamed of what they did to it. It seems as if the side storys were just thrown in there because they were running out of time to hand the books into the publisher. The characters arn't drawn well at ALL, with the traditional well endowed women and macho men. And anyone who has ever played the games would know that this is NOT what these people look like! In book number three, I couldn't tell whether the woman in it was Jill or Claire. If you want Plot, this is not the comic series for you. It even bothers to include the pitiful BOOM! and SLASH! effects for your personal distaste. Come on, William Berkin goes crazy in a zoo? Danger Island? This is a major dihonour to the series. But, because it is resident evil, I'll give it a two. Go buy the novels, and if its the artwork of the comic atmosphere your looking for, don't bother, its not worth it. If you see it in a comic shop, go ahead and read it but don't waste your money on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fear has a new book in raccoon city, March 24, 2003
This review is from: Resident Evil: Collection One (Paperback)
I think this book was one of the best books ive ever read. It is thrilling even though some of the sayings are pretty bad (not language but how they use them) but otherwise this book, you cant set down and its good becuz they have more to the series its not just one book then your done with it, you can keep reading them if you like them.

2.0 out of 5 stars Itchy. Tasty. But not for long...., April 6, 2000

This review is from: Resident Evil: Collection One (Paperback)
Now when I saw this book on Amazon I thought "what a great idea, I'll bag me a copy of that". And I was not heavily dissapointed with the book, but I couldn't help feeling that the stories based on Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2, has been rushed (for example, the scene where that "thing" bursts out of Ben in Res2 was cut down to 3 frames in the comic). Some of the stories are, to say the least, pathetic (William Birkin going mad at a zoo?). This book is not a necessity to any Resident Evil fans' collection, but my do well for a light read. Not an awful book by any means, but some stories are the fruits of an overworked imagination (and there are only 11)...
