I have just recieved my Magnum Gun. I must say it was everything I expected it looked even better than the picture. I think if you are a true Resident Evil fan, you must add this gun to your collection. It has a double trigger that allows you to use both for the B and A button which is amazing. But the best part about the second trigger is it actually works for the A button. There is one withdraw, I am sure if your Wii remote has a lot of usage that the A trigger will not work as well.
The nunchuk knife part I must say is the best. It is just sad that u dont get to use it for what it is needed for slicing zombies. Resident Evil game makers please make a game where the knife can be used.. Lol
But overall I have to give the Magnum gun an(-A)

This thing is Okay. Just Okay. My wife got me this and my son the nerf Nshot gun for christmas for our wii. We played Dead Space and Nerf and Resident Evil 4 with them, and I wouldn't really recommend this for much of anything if your gonna play for awhile. It looks absolutely awesome and comes with some cool skins and thumbstick covers but other than that the peripheral is kind of a pain. The buttons are not really responsive especially the A button, the trigger works well and has a satisfying mechanical feel but the A button thing under the trigger guard is difficult to use it slides a bar back to engage the button but its just not reliable or easy to do. In addition to that, the gun itself is terribly balanced the Wiimote sits on the "barrel" so all the weight is in front of your hand. It feels very unnatural, and makes it hard to accurately aim the gun and after playing for 20 minute your arm is just dead. The knife attachment is great though, I keep it on my nunchuck regardless just because it makes it look wicked.
If you are planning on using this for Rail Shooters on the Wii, just get the Nerf gun, that thing is the best one I've ever used for Wii and we have 3 different Wii blasters. So, if you plan on using this for any real gaming look elsewhere, if you want something that just looks badass then this fits your bill.

The game itself is a solid rails shooter. Fun and exactly what you would expect. The blaster, on the other hand is a completely different matter.

I have to say that I was pretty happy with the blaster on the first week. It was a little front heavy, but I liked how it handled, as it is the first wii blaster that felt like a real arcade gun. At first, the A button worked great (no awkward hold needed) and the trigger mechanism worked fine. You did get a little tired after twenty minutes, but I was fine with that. I am glad I did not write the review earlier, because what a difference two weeks made.

Two weeks later, the A trigger became a lot less responsive and the B trigger completely failed. I opened up the blaster to see what the problem was and I saw that the springs in the trigger broke. I was able to fix it, but I was really annoyed with the flimsy quality of all its internal mechanisms. A week after that, both triggers became much less responsive because the plastic continued to warp due to the continued use (actually light use). This was a big failure for me. Which is a real shame too- if they spent a dollar more on making the plastic pieces a little thicker, it would have been a good design.

I am fairly sure that all the reviews for this bundle would be negative if they were written three weeks after using it. Buyer be warned!

So solid video game, pass on the blaster...knife looks fairly cool.

This gun does not work at all. The A button is unreliable and the B button does not work. I made a piece out of aluminum foil to bridge the gap between the B button linkage actuator and the B button and it worked, but not reliably. The gun is top heavy and awkward. I found myself tossing the gun aside in the middle of playing to ease my frusterations. Although I dont see other reviews having the same problem with the B button, so I wonder if it is just a deffective item. Most reviews do note the unreliability of the A button though, so be aware before buying.

The knife is cool and adds to the feel of the game for me, but after a few hours of playing I have a tendency to rest both of the controllers low in my lap. This position put the knife blade right in front of the other controller and obstructed the communication with the wii sensor bar. This is the point where I tossed the knife aside. Looks awesome sitting in a drawer... not worth it in long term play.

The umbrella thumbcap is still in use. I love is. I just wish i haddnt spent $26 dollars on it. Its the only practical item in the package in my opinion.

If anyone has any feedback on why my B button does not work, I would apreciate it. I would like for something other than the thumbcap to work.

I have several gun housings for the Wii controllers.... Perfect Shot, the original RE Blaster, Wii Zapper, and one of those pack in shotguns found in the budget Zoo titles. As I'm sure many Wii owners know, these guns are "close but no cigar" type accessories, meaning that they all miss some key feature that would make them well suited for the wide variety of Wii gun shooter games available.

Although perhaps not a full on Bulls-Eye... This RE Magnum Blaster is definitely my favorite Wii gun accessory to date!

The set is nicely packaged for starters! I could definitely see a collector wanting to keep one of these sealed for display purposes!

Onto the actual gun, which is surely the part of this set which you are going to be the most curious about. Does the gun look "cooler" in person? Ehhhh kind of! It does have a nice metallic sort of gun metal grey paint on it that you can't so readily notice in the photos here, but it is one of the few gun housings that is going to look slick alongside a black Wii console. The actual gun housing itself is built with about the same type of caliber hard plastic found in Perfect Shots, it's sturdy and lightweight but it could crack or break outright if you dropped it onto a hard floor. The gun also appears more abnormally long than in the photo I think, largely due to the fact that it is made to also incorporate the old style add-on Motion Plus modules. Motion Plus or without, the gun holds the Wii-mote so securely, it's unlikely that the Wii-Mote will ever go flying out! Like the previous RE Blaster the Nunchuk cord fits through a small slot near the top of the gun instead of having a connector in the bottom of the grip such as a Perfect Shot.
