It's sad.......,

......that an album like this doesn't get any marketing. This is an extemely good album. Deck, as always, slices and dices all the tracks. The producer Mondee has a promising future. There are great beats all over this cd that mesh perfectly with the Rebel INS. Really, I would've given this album 4 stars because of the fact the tracks are too short (the tracks average around 2 minutes a piece). However, compared to all the radio (c)rap out, I want this album to get the highest rate possible to make up for the lack of marketing.

Favorite album of the year!,

Incredibly impressed with Deck's album.. This was a real pleasant suprise. He is a smart and worthy rap contendor.. Definitely street beats, not over produced club banga style like most manufactured rap artists out there. A lot of people are sleeping on this album, definitely a masterpiece.
#1 album released this year.

easily one of the better hip-hop albums i've heard in quite some time. album of the year so far for me. this is the type of hip-hop that should be going platinum and getting played on the radio. deck should really get your support. cop this and listen to some real hip-hop.

Deck got back to his roots on this. The opening track is incredible. The album features nine producers. RZA produced an awesome track too that reminds me of the old school Wu sound. I have Uncontrolled Substance and that one is horrible compared to The Resident Patient. This album is essential to a Wu-fans collection, right up there with No Said Date.

Inspectah Deck - Resident Patient,

Finally! Inspectah Deck drops more dope heat! The state of Hip-Hop in 2006 needed more bangers and real hip-hop and Inspectah Deck delivered and gave everyone just that.
GREAT production, the production fits INS's style perfectly. Happy that RZA got to jump on 1-2 tracks at least. Beats that I thought that stood out and had a dope vibe to them were, "Sound Of The Slums", CREEPS, My Style, A Lil Story(Produced By RZA), Handle That. You got some grimey soundin tracks, some up-tempo up beat songs that keep your head bobbin. Im satisfied with the production on this album. The lyrics are also nice, INS still gots his ill flow and ill lyrics. Wished there would have been more Wu appearances but there were a few. INS definately delivers fire on all tracks. Overall, if your a Wu fan, Inspectah Deck fan then this album is definately for you. Stay on the lookout for a new INS album called "The Rebellion" P My Top 5 Songs 1.Sound Of The Slums 2.A Lil Story 3.Handle That 4.C.R.E.E.P.S 5.My Style

Inspectah Deck is one of the members of the Wu who has not changed his style to accommodate new fans tastes. He keeps it real with real fans from the beginning like myself. All the wu tang clan members are parallels to kung fu stars in real movies. If you had to pick a member from the Wu who keeps that image to the fullest, Inspectah Deck keeps that image really well. He is the member who might actually carry and Excalibur sword on his back.
To me he has very underrated production skills. If you ever listen to the Rza's Bobby Digital he does a track called Unspoken Word. Tracks like that are what made Wu Bangas Wu Bangas. Inspectah Deck still Reps the 160 Hard. He has never sold out and he backs up everything he ever says. Don't sleep on this album you will be very happy with your purchase. He keeps his lyrics sharp consistently and beats grimey. Do not sleep on his Uncontrolled Substance.

3 years since the Rebel dropped his 2nd solo (the 3.5 star "The Movement") he is back reppin the Wu right, not as good as his classic debut, "Uncontrolled Substance", but this is more what I expected from a great lyricist/emcee like Deck. With 16 songs, 14 of which he is on, you get some very good material. Guests rap on 6 of the songs, so you still get a nice amount of INS the rebel. Of the 16 songs, 3 are ok, the other 13 are good or real good songs, no classic or borderline classic, but strong songs. Production is very nice as well, although not to many Wu-Tang producers had their hand in it. Mondee does 5 songs, Liveson, Inspectah Deck, and the Marxmen all do 2 songs, RZA, Flowers, Clivaringz, Psycho LES all do 1 song. A must have album from one of the Wu's quieter members of late.

Inspectah Deck sharpened his lyrical sword for this one. All WU TANG FANS and fans of hip hop will really appreciate this one. I can honestly say that its his best CD to date. Production is nice, lyrics complement very well.
