This is an excellent second volume on the work of Anthony Ames, a terrific architect who has maintained both a highly disciplined vocabulary and a delightful sense of humor. The book is a first rate representation of the level of detail also exhibited in his design work. The graphics are excellent, the text is thoughtful and clear, devoid of quasi-intellectual mumbo jumbo. I admire his work, and I often browse through the book for inspiration and a reminder of what can be accomplished through diligent adherence to one's convictions.
