Product Description

resistance bands are made from the highest quality rubber to ensure maximum life. This set of resistance bands includes five stackable resistance bands, two handles, door anchor, carrying bag. This set of exercise bands optimizes the advantage of using any single or multiple (1-5) bands at once to achieve multiple levels of resistance. Stackable set of exercise bands allow for a much wider range of resistance, (4lbs to 75lbs) then traditional resistance bands sets. Any combination of bands may be used at one time, without the hassles of having multiple handles on each band. This increase in range and ease of use makes this set perfect for anyone from beginners and experts. Stackable bands allow you to achieve the highest levels of resistance possible.

Seems very sturdy and well made and built to last.

I like that the ends and the bands are interchangeable and that you can easily combine multiple bands on the same end to get different resistance levels.

Also, the pack bag is so small and easy to carry, I take the set with me whenever I travel to other bases so I keep my fitness workouts going.

This set arrived the day after I ordered it and thus far, it has far exceeded my expectations. The first thing that struck me is the quality of the bands and all the acessorices included in the kit. The hand grips are solid and strong, and the clips that attach the cords are beautifully engineered and crafted.

The kit comes with a really handy door mounted strap. This allows a much greater variety of exercises from below, above and straight on. For those of us without much space, this is like having a full gym in the bedroom.

The ankle attachment works very well too. I'm able to work my inner and outer thigh muscles without a problem thanks to this attachment. I couple it with a loop band for lateral steps and squats in between sets. I don't recommend Black Mountains Loop Bands though (Black Mountain Products Resistance Loop Bands Set of Three with Starter Guide and Carrying Bag). Unlike this band kit, they are made of very thin and skinny rubber material that digs into my ankles during the movement - makes the exercise very uncomfortable. When looking for a good loop band set, look for bands with a wider base like the one's below so you can avoid this from happening.

This resistance band kit is so satisfying on many levels.

I bought these bands to use with Tony Horton's 10-Minute Trainer. For the most part these are great until you have to do a military press or an overhead tricep curl. These exercises require you to stand on the middle of the band and push all the way up until your arms are fully extended. For these exercises, the bands are too short for me and I worry how long they'll last if I keep stretching them that far. I'm 6'0" tall, so someone shorter might not have any problem. If you're 6' or taller, I would find something longer because these will disappoint. The B-Line bands used by Tony Horton for P90x and his other videos appear to be roughly twice as long as these.

These are good quality bands though. The grommets are strong and the clips are metal and thus, less prone to breaking. The door attachment and ankle accessory work fine. The "instruction manual" is a little sparse and simplistic but you can't expect too much there. Suspiciously, I noticed that none of the exercises show the bands being lifted any higher than shoulder length.

EDIT: I increased my review to a 4 star after using the bands a while longer and speaking to their customer service. I also got a free orange band for my call. According to customer service the bands can actually stretch safely up to 5 times their original size (their max stretch is about 40 ft. although this makes them unusable). After 3 weeks of overhead use they still show no signs of wear or tear.

EDIT: Still on the fence about these. After 6 weeks of use I had to get the red band replaced after seeing several tears appear. Now I'm seeing tears in the black band and one tear in the new red band already. As far as I know I'm not using them inappropriately but I may have to go ahead and return the whole set.

I inherited these from a guy friend who is looking to build muscle mass. They didn't work for him because of the intensity of his workout, it was too much for the bands. Although, he did get some replaced by the company when they wore out quickly, so kudos to the company. He gave them to me, because my workout isn't as strenuous, so he thought they would be helpful. And they are great for what I do. I dropped my gym membership because of cost, but still wanted to continue with one of the workouts I took regularly that used resistance bands. (I would use these with a DVD, or exercise class, as the start up guide doesn't give a lot of information about specific exercises for toning all areas.) These are perfect for what I do, and the variety of equipment they give you is excellent, you can change up your routine easily. When I injured by shoulder (not seriously, just a strain), the yellow and blue bands give an easier workout without adding to the injury, and then I worked my way back up. I'm very happy with them, and they have lasted several months even with almost daily use (full disclosure, there was a week or two where I was too lazy to do anything). If you are looking for more serious workout/weight loss, I recommend adding other workouts to your routine, or getting more heavy duty equipment (although my body building friend told me they worked very well for him, but didn't last as long with a daily, super intense workout). However, if you are like me and working out isn't easy to do (lack of motivation), so you stick to what you are able to commit too despite not losing much weight with it, I can recommend a supplement ...Read more ›
