Resistance is for Everyone to Read,

This review is from: Resistance Behind Bars: The Struggles Of Incarcerated Women (Paperback)
Victoria Law's book is written in a voice that is personal and allows the information to be meaningful to everyone (even if the subject matter is new). The book is very informative and provides a voice for a hugely ignored population in our society. It also gives witness to their struggles and their strengths. I feel if this book were widely read, it would move enough people to rethink the reality of prisons.

This review is from: Resistance Behind Bars: The Struggles Of Incarcerated Women (Paperback)
Victoria Law has managed to give voices to the struggles faced by incarcarated women and document the hardships they encounter while trying to affect change within the prison system. Engaging, challenging, incredibly well-researched and written in an accessible, never boring style.
