This is probably Big Mountains most complete album consisting of exceleent roots & culture music and simple yet sincere lyrics. If you are at all a fan of reggae music you will definitley enjoy Resistance.

album highlights the teachings of marcus Garvey, H.I.M. Selassie I. Infectious rythms throughout, catchy melody lines and excellent musicians dot this album.

I LOVE THIS CD AS WELL AS ALL OF THE 'BIG MOUNTAIN" CD's. THIS IS ONE TALENTED GROUP OF MEN!!! THE LEAD SINGER IS AWESOME ..WHO ELSE CAN SING " BABY I LOVE YOU WAY " IN A SOULFUL REGGAE MIX AN THEN SING IT IN SPANISH!!!

The CD is great. Couldn't ask for a better product. It's WAY cheaper than any local music store.

Perhaps not as prolific as some reggae legends such as Bob marley and sister carol, but Big mountain is well worth every dollar ive put into their pockets. The album catches you from the start with "hooligans", and leads straight into the best track on the album 'Resistance'. It's very refreshing to see that a reggae group from North America do so well. It's similar to thinking about a latin group making it huge from Canada. the album is a breath of fresh air to the industry, with people like beanie man being labeled reggae, its nice to see one band that actually fits the music I fell in love with. Go get it.

ALBUMS OF ALL TIMES. THE HIT "GET TOGETHER", "WHERE DO THE CHILDREN PLAY" WERE GREAT PICKS BY THIS GREAT BAND. "HOOLIGANS", "INNER CITY YOUTH" AND "LOVE IS THE ONLY WAY" BRING YOU INTO A WORLD OF REALITY WITH TRUE EMOTION.
