People have done more out-of-control nonsense and out-of-control much-sense (is that a word?) in China than in any other country ever - or so this book apparently indicates. It seems that throughout history, China has been a melting pot for every form of human insanity possible. This book gives it all to you, very well. I read picked it up from a friend and I am now buying one for myself. I only wanted part of it for a research paper, but I just couldn't stop reading. It's a tad, well, dry in places, but what it throws at you will fire the imagination so that you become rather grateful for this fact. I don't know of any other books that cover so much so well.
