With Resistance have made what is truly a landmark metalcore release. Their style is somewhere between Dillinger Escape Plan and Poison The Well, but this album is better than anything either of those bands have released. They have all the intensity of the most chaotic metalcore/screamo/grind bands, but with a lot more melody and structure which makes for a much more cohesive record than most bands in metalcore are capable of making. I'd rank it in the top ten albums in heavy music released so far this decade. If the newer songs on their split ep with Twentyinchburial are anything to go by, their next album is going to be even better.

The first song on the CD is most definitely the best. Really technical and pretty melodic metal-core ish stuff with awesome vocals...semi-Converge ish maybe (vocally). There are really solid breakdowns, and lyrically it's not too shabby. Overall a super intense and technically solid CD. By the way I'm not 13. It's just fun to not have to register.And it's not lame hardcore where the dorks from your towns can dance to it.

Totally sweet, and by totally sweet I mean awesome too. This will rock you so hard you'll have to look for your socks afterwards.

Let me begin by saying, that I can handle just about anything, when it comes to music. But there are a few things that are completely unforgivable:
-MTV and all the trash it promotes, when all it really promotes is drugs, sex, bulimia, hooking up, and being a pathetic self-conscious, posing looser
-Gangster rap that defaces what used to be very intelligent and respectable african-american music. The combination of poetry and music. Now it is just yelling and pervasively cursing about who's [...] is hotter or who can dog who better

Finally...this pathetic, disgusting piece of garbage that is attempting to be passed off as music. there is no harmonic structure, no solid key, no understandable singing, and absolutely no instrumental talent. I could give these instruments to 5-year olds and they could make better music than these guys. 95% of hardcore and all that smashing thrashing black metal sh*** IS NOT MUSIC. If I can't understand the words, get rid of the singer cause he should not be doing anything. Worse yet, if I can't make out a melodic tune or chord progression, get rid of the instruments. So, in closing, this band, and all the ones like it should give up and go get a job that will let them showoff whatever talents they may actually posses, because music certainly ain't one of them.
