As you may have noticed, this series of books by G. Travels are stirring controversy. People either love them or hate them, and the reviews reflect this. I will try to give this book as fair a review as possible, but will probably offend both extremes in so doing.
There are several problems with the book that need to be covered first:
Production values: This is a slim self-published volume. There are many typos. It is not a quality binding or a well edited text. I found the typos and clumsy editing distracting, but it shouldn't put you off if you are interested in the subject.
Writing style: The author has strong opinions bordering on the dogmatic. His style is also very convoluted, and it is often difficult to decipher what he means. I had to re-read sections repeatedly, not because it was to technical, but because it was poorly written. I found the insistent dogmatism and confused writing an obstacle.
New Content: The first third of the book is an exact reprint of the first book in the series. The last third of the book is a story. So that leaves the middle third of an already slender volume for new content. I felt the book was thus overpriced.
These three problems out of the way, we can now review the material in the book:
This book is about resisting astral attack. However, there is very little in the book about how to actually resist astral attack. Mostly the author presents his personal and often odd-ball theories on the subject. Never-the-less, there are worthwhile gems and nuggets in the book, but you have to sift carefully for them, and they are highly esoteric. If what you are looking for is practical information, you won't find much here. This is more of a manifesto of one persons personal beliefs rather than instructional literature.

There is nothing in this book that is not in the first book. It is a very slim volume with precious little in it about resisting astral attack as well.
However, one gem of wisdom that G. Travels imparts in this book is, and I quote: "women are emotionally and spiritually inferior to men," that being the reason they make such poor astral warriors, he asserts. This quote is not taken out of context either. It is exactly what the author says, and it is exactly what the author means. And, it is just one of a consistent string of anti-women misogynist comments and innuendoes that pepper the book. Of course, there will always be men and women who will try and defend or rationalize such morally indefensible statements.
Also, and perhaps most pertinent to those reading this review, there is very little about resisting astral attack in the book. Most books on psychic self-defense for sale on Amazon.com have more on the subject in one chapter than there is in this entire book (and I would suggest you buy one of those books intead). You end up paying a lot of money for a very thin volume with little substance other than some ugly digs at women.

Format: Paperback
This is the second self-published book by G. Travels by vanity publishing house I-Universe. It is called "Resisting Astral Attack," and yet there is very little in the book about actually resisting astral attack. It is a very thin volume at a price much higher than its pages merit. And, the first third of the book is simply a re-printing of the first book in this series. Also, the last third is a story that is supposed to be an account from someone's diary on the subject. That just leaves the middle third, which in such a slim volume already, is a very insubstantial amount to be paying for. And, it is insubstantial in content...If you are interested in books that actually give you the tools to resist astral attack, I would suggest such titles (all available on Amazon.com) as: Practical Psychic Self-Defense: Understanding and Surviving Unseen Influences - Protected by the Light: The Complete Book of Psychic Self Defense; 2nd Edition - The Psychic Self-Defense Personal Training Manual - The Art of Psychic Protection - and, Shouting at the Wolf: A Guide to Identifying and Warding Off Evil in Everyday Life.
Again: there is virtually nothing in "Resisting Astral Attack" on how to resist astral attacks. It is a very slim volume to begin with, two thirds of which are irrelevant, and the final third being insubstantial at best. There are far better books on the market, and much less arrogantly written.
I gave it two stars...

This book, is part of a series and reminds the reader in a very unequivocal way that there may be something else that takes place around us that may not meet our physical eyes. It empowers you with knowledge which is more precious then anything material. If one is reading it, there was a reason for it. Whether or not to follow the message in the book is a free choice which should not be based on fear but on one's own intuition. I agree that this book is addressed to the open minded and to the one who also lost the attachment to the game of life and became more of an observer. The book is just pointing you the direction but is a long way to reach the destination. For those who engage themselves on the suggested path, it will get you much further then expected. For all the others it is always good to look at things from a different angle. Good reading.
