Review

"Resisting the Green Dragon is the best production we have ever seen on the subject of radical environmentalism. Though many in the environmental movement have good intentions, the destructiveness of the worldview and the policies they advocate will have debilitating effects, not only on the West, but the rest of the world too." -- Jerry Johnson, President, NiceneCouncil.com

I read this book a couple of months ago. After reading some terribly innacurate reviews (if one could call opinions a review) I thought I should actually provide one, since no one else seemed interested in telling what the book is actually about. So here is a real review, from someone who loves God's creation, and has actually read this book cover to cover.

In Resisting the Green Dragon the background of the green movement is brought to light. The author is a PhD in physics, and a Christian, and he critiques many of the religious, philosophic, and scientific claims of the green movement. Anyone interested in understanding what Christians believe, or at least what the Bible teaches, about Creation and our relationship to it will find this book a great help.

The very premise of the book will not please those who are using religion, Christianity in particular, as a tool to advance environmentalist agendas. In fact, several reviewers appear to object to the very idea of critiquing the religious foundations of the green movement, and do not seem concerned to address the very questions raised. They just say the book is no good, because it dares challenge environmentalist presuppositions; clearly they have not bothered to interact with the arguments, and by the absence of any actual review I suspect they have not even read the book.

The book is *extremely* well written, and I found it hard to put it down. In fact, it is hard to believe a scientist can write so incredibly well. Given the topic, it is surprisingly humorous at times, and there were several times where I was rolling on the floor laughing. This combination alone makes this a rare and worthwhile read.

But I had to have a break, because I couldn't read it all in one sitting.

There are many well written books that explain the real intent behind the United Nations' Agenda 21 which is a plan for a totalitarian world government under the guise of preventing a man-caused, global climatic holocaust. But this is one of the most readable and detailed accounts without smothering the reader with charts and statistics. Although written from an unabashedly Christian perspective, non-Christian readers will not find it preachy or didactic. The author is very clear in making a distinction between the facts and his interpretation of them from a Biblical viewpoint. Anyone who is serious about opposing Agenda 21 needs this book.

This is a must for us in the western world that have had the green world view invade every aspect of our lives from politics to universities and schools to even our work places and some churches. This series exposes the hidden agendas behind this movement and how they are placing the Earth above God and people.

This is a hidden attack on the church and we as Christians all need to be aware and not be sucked in by this movement. "resist the devil and he will flee you".

Excellent eye opener to the religious views that form the foundations of the modern environmentalist movement. Several leading scholars and theologians consider the aggressive efforts to green our blue planet, and explain why this is dangerous for society and the Church.

In the end, it becomes clear that the Green Dragon - the environmentalist movement, and the intelligence behind it - reverses the order of creation. The Bible teaches that God makes man, and commands him to subdue and rule the earth. But in the green movement, earth comes first, then man, and finally we are all one with God.

One of the most valuable aspects of these videos, is the clear presentation of the Biblical view of dominion. I am the author of a book with the same title, and though I have studied the green movement extensively, I found the videos helpful and insightful.

I read this book recently and was fascinated by the information given, and details provided. Make no mistake, environmentalism is currently the fastest-growing "religion" in the world. I realize that environmental zealots will do their best to discredit this book. That's ok. People can believe what they choose to believe. I only ask that people take a look at the evidence herein and make a decision upon it.

I found the whole book to be compelling, slightly humorous, and very easy to read. Wanliss is to be credited for setting before the world a reasonable account of this green movement. I call them "Gangreens."

I own a company in an industry where I could easily profit off of being "green" and I have resisted that pressure out of principle. True, my company saves lots of people energy and that is its own reward, stopping well short of the religious fervor that characterizes green zealotry.

I am appalled at the dark undercurrent that circulates through the green movement, and warn my fellow believers to "keep your antenna up" and watch for things like Pachamama, Dark Green, Gaia, and Deep Ecology to cite only a few. These things will slay many an otherwise innocent individual with outright New Age and occult connections. Be wise, my friends.
