5.0 out of 5 stars Great book!
This book changed my life! I was unhappy with my homosexual feelings and wanted to live the gospel. This book helped me understand what my underlying problems were and solve them. It is based on true principles. The author quotes numerous scientific studies to back up his writing, and he's a personal witness that homosexuality can be overcome--because he did it...

This book changed my life! I was unhappy with my homosexual feelings and wanted to live the gospel. This book helped me understand what my underlying problems were and solve them. It is based on true principles. The author quotes numerous scientific studies to back up his writing, and he's a personal witness that homosexuality can be overcome--because he did it himself! He has worked with hundreds of men with the organization Evergreen International and gives statistics on the number of people to overcome homosexuality. I've seen tremendous progress in myself as well! If you don't want to be gay, you don't have to be!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is amazing!, January 11, 2002

This review is from: Resolving Homosexual Problems: A Guide for LDS Men (Paperback)
For those of us (gay LDS men) who want to change, this book is a Godsend. I can't tell you the insight this has given me into my own spiritual struggle and yearning for answersd to some serious questions I had. If you can't find the help you need from those at church, this book is a terrific alternative. The auther helps the reader with quotes from the scriptures and several of the general authorities. His suggestions and inspirational thoughts help to make sense of a sometimes crazy sometimes confusing situation. The book is NOT about trying to get you to change who you are, or how you feel, he just helps to open doors to other possibilities, should you be willing to check them out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful book, October 19, 2002
This review is from: Resolving Homosexual Problems: A Guide for LDS Men (Paperback)
This book is written to men who are unhappy with their same-sex attractions and want to find ways to diminish them and live gospel-centered lives. It gives a comprehensive overview of homosexual issues, thoroughly researched and backed by scientific and first-hand evidence. Most of the book is a self-help approach to understanding the issues and making personal decisions about how to respond to them. Gives suggestions on how one may diminish same-gender attractions and live gospel principles.

I fear that one man has decided his expereinces in life give him the right to "share" and directly influence others in an unhealthy and manipulativce way. Mixing spiritual and psychological babble, does not help anyone who is struggling with important decisions. Some people are pyschologically, emotionally and spiritually damaged and do unusual and "unnatural things" according to their true identity. To assume that all homosexuals are maladjusted and fit this LDS perception of sexual misorientation is naive and condescending.
