Summer Time,

This review is from: Respect (Audio CD)
I LOVE Diana King. I already own the original 2003 UK release of Respect, but i am so glad to see it finally released in the US. This is Diana's best album todate. it is a real summer album. i love to listen to at the beach or in my jeep. hell im in ohio right now were it is 30 outside and i have been listening to it the last week. the lyrics are good, and the music is nice, and diana just keeps it real. this is definatly a GREAT album. the music ranges from hip hop, reggae, house/dane & even the few ballads. but its wonderful. everyone will enjoy this CD. Nuff Said!

By Ahmed (Canada) - See all my reviews

Diana King is back! She drew a large audience towards her with songs the ever so popular little Prayer" and "L-lies" and now she's back again. The first track from her latest album is the summer time saga song "Summer Breezin" mixing hip-hop, dance and reggae and a little
bit of Bounty Killer to appeal the dance lovers. Respect is Diana King's first album in five years. It basically shows King's m Recently signed to Madonna's Maverick label, the 30+ Jamaican singer displays her heredity i n dance nonstop tracks like the bubbly song of praise "Summer Breezin'," and is just as relaxed doing contemporary R&B in her other single "Credit Card," or even playing pop music on "Wallflower." Other great songs on this LP include the catchy "Mi Lova" (No exactly like Mi and the captivating "Suga Suga". "Wine Yu the

got this cd as a fluke. have never heard of this woman before and don't particularly care for reggae music. played it while copying to my computer and ended up listening to the whole thing... repeated a few of the tracks several times! there's something here, the rhythm? or rhymes that remind me of mark morrison (return of the mack). definitely worth a listen!

Diana King is one of the best new recording artist to come out of the beautiful island of Jamaica. Her talent and voice range are rhythmic and smoothe with a touch of nautiness in her lyrics. The dance hall syncopation combined with her reggae roots flows vividly throughout the musical selections.

2 stars - for only 2 songs,
By Sinitta (Germany) - See all my reviews

2 stars for 2 songs: "Summer breezin" and "sugar sugar" are really convincing and quite up to the level of her first hit "shy guy". The rest of the album is ok, but not very spectacular and rather boring to my ears.
