More About the Author
Niyi Taiwo is a continuous improvement expert and professional with over 21 years working with several Fortune 500 companies, governmental entities, as well as small-medium sized companies. His passion for finding ways to continuously improve the way things are done led him to pursue a multi-year study, starting in 2005, on the all important topic of respect.
Niyi shares a belief that it is important in life to take one's body of skills, expertise, and business experiences and apply them in a manner that contributes to, and serves, the personal well-being of others. This approach dramatically multiplies the value of one's professional achievements in life.
This belief led Niyi to publish his first book, Respect: Gaining It and Sustaining It, in which he reveals his initial findings on his study of the topic of respect. In the book, he breaks down the components of respect and systematically reassembles them in sections, using the opportunity to reveal many fortunate aspects of his own life growing up, gaining a solid education, and launching a career. His presentation revealed a man who's journey to better understand the topic of respect confirmed his own qualities, character attributes, and values.
This endeavor subsequently led to Niyi's creation of EKTIMIS, an innovative new brand that focuses on an attitude of respect! With the 2009 launch of EKTIMIS.com, a premiere online destination for personal, professional, and family development anchored around one central theme - respect, Niyi revealed The Top Ten Laws of Respect, a body of principles that govern the essence of respect, the factors that cause us to gain and lose respect, and the means of gaining and maintaining respect on a sustained basis.
In his recent books, The Top Ten Laws of Respect (A Personal Guide), The Top Ten Laws of Respect in the Workplace (A Professional Guide), and The Top Ten Laws of Respect at Home (A Family Guide) Niyi presents these principles in a manner that inspires and that will reshape people's thinking forever. New books are planned in 2010, continuing the Top Ten Laws of Respect series.
The EKTIMIS brand now features a growing collection of resources and tools that include books, respect-themed articles, and powerful and engaging visual artifacts (respect-themed framed pictures) that shape attitudes. These, and more, are all available at www.ektimis.com
