If you love beautiful music, superbly sung & played, give yourself a treat and purchase this CD. I'm betting you will be just as surprised and delighted as I was - How exciting it is to hear these works.And although they are relatively unknown pieces of Respighi's, they still bring great pleasure, and we must thank CPO and their engineers for bringing them to us on this wonderful SACD, a production which captures performances by Damiana Pinti, Mastro Conti and his wonderful Sicilian musicians that will likely never be bettered. Do yourself a favor and get this. It's a joy it is to listen to. |
