I bought this to use in working with advanced students in psychological assessment. I was disappointed that there are only a few vignettes that will be appropriate for this type of focus at this level. However, for a first class in assessment, regardless of the focus, this book is a great source of short readings for discussion. I will definitely get a fair amount of use out of it, just not the use I purchased it for.

I expected a dry, scholarly book, but instead found it to be interesting and enjoyable. Every time I thought of putting the book down for the evening, I would think: "just one more vignette." This book is full of real cases, with some commentary by the authors. One thing I want the authors to do with the next edition is to add more discussion of professional principles such as APA ethics code.
