Steve Marks may be a brilliant physicist but his reputation is in the gutter due to past unethical behavior. Marks lands a job with a group of paranormal investigators tracking and destroying entities from another dimension they call "demons" who feed off human terror. With the help of his team, Marks devises a way to kill the demons, which backfires to the point of taking out prominent humans associated with these entities. The team is taken hostage by the U.S. military and forced to help find a way to cross dimensions and destroy the demons. Aware that demons have strong allies in governmental positions, the team doesn't know who to trust and ultimately become involved in warfare with humans and demons.
Phillips' concept is a bit complex but he is adept at delivering the story in such a way most readers will have no problem understanding the basic mechanics of quantum physics and the theory of dimensional worlds. The plot moves quickly and is filled with action, suspense and deception. Primary characters are well-developed and an integral part of the story. The premise is thrilling and readers will be so intrigued with this well-written sci-fi they will be reluctant to put the book aside once it's finished.

Sometimes the true enemy isn't known until it's too late. "The Resqueth Revolution" is the tale of Steve Marks, a man who has recently lost his credibility as a physicist. When monsters begin crossing into this dimension, he fears he must be the one to stop them; but it seems the monsters have allied with the one power that could stop them through force - the U.S. Military. Steve must find a way to overcome his own weaknesses to somehow save himself, his love, and his world. "The Resqueth Revolution" is a sci-fi novel based on personal change, highly recommended.

If you like stories from the golden age of science fiction,
This review is from: The Resqueth Revolution (Paperback)
If you like stories from the golden age of science fiction from authors like Heinlein, Van Vogt and Philip K. Dick, you owe it to yourself to read this book. If you enjoy vivid imagery, a fast paced plot, interesting characters who become people you feel you know, and science and fiction and a bit of the occult blended into a story with unexpected twists and turns that demands your complete and full attention from beginning to end, you should read this book. The plot detail is incredible and I found I had suspended my disbelief somewhere in the first chapter and never looked back. Just one word of warning....Don't start reading this book just anywhere. You may not be able to put it down!!!

I loved this book. The descriptions were written with such artistry I felt like I was there. I could see the colors and the landscape of the strange world in my head. The plot moved fast and there was always something interesting going on and the author made the characters so real that even after the story resolved itself and the book ended I wondered what was going on in their lives now - as if they were friends that I needed to check up on. I think this book would make a great movie some day - I can't wait to see it.
