I've been following Pseudopod since its inception, and I can say without reservation that it's the best funk/groove band to whom I listen. It's not a rehash of 70s-style funk; it's entirely unique. Exemplary musicianship all around combined with catchy riffs and driving bass lines. Highly recommended.

From what I understand, this is the CD the band put out on their own in order to get themselves a record deal (they now are with Interscope and have released an official debut album wuth them.)
Normally I am very lyric minded, and while I do enjoy the lyrics on almost every track, the musicianship of this band is hard to ignore--bass, guitar, drums, and sax--all add a great texture to the overall sound and the solos are killer.
While this CD isn't as "polished" as their newer offering, I love it and it contains some of my favorite songs the band has. If you are already a Pseudopod fan, you MUST buy this album, there is no doubt in my mind that you will LOVE it. If you don't own a Pseudopod album, I would recommend buying their self-titled release along with this one.

This album is just that. An perfect blend of jazz-rock-funk. After listening to the album a few times, I've caught myself singing along. This is an audio experience you don't want to miss.

This album rocks! It is easy to listen to and makes you want to dance! I would especially recommend it to all those Dave Matthews fans out there. Every song on it is awesome (this is one of those cd's you can actually listen to all the way through without having to skip to the good songs). These guys truly pour their heart into their music. It is definitely an album worth getting and before you know it you will be singing along. Enjoy:)

This CD is amazing!! it is so easy to listen to becuase all the songs are great! their sound is original and very impressive. The talents of the band will go far! BUY THE CD!!!

These guys are extremely talented yet totally accessible to any kind of music lover (something that doesn't often happen). You won't know how to categorize them, but you'll know you like it. Buy the album and you'll know they sound great. See them live to find out that they rock!

Pseudopod has the potential to begin a new genre of music. I can listen to the CD from beginning to end. If you enjoy the classic stylings of good old rock and roll with a modern element of funk, you MUST get this. Thank you to the person who gave a bootleg of Pseudopod at a Dave Matthews concert!
