THE PERFECT BALANCE!!, April 7, 2001
This review is from: Rest of the Day Off / Underestimated (Audio CD)
Neil Finn's sound comes closer more and more to the perfection. In this advance of the album "One Nil", we can find the first single "Rest of the day off", a song difficult to forget, one of Neil Finn's big songs. This CD also includes, two songs not included in the album, " Underestimated ", a darker song and impredecible, to Finn Brothers's style. Finally Now I Get It", the song more Crowded House of the single, I like it a lot. It also includes an interactive game, similar to those of Nilfun. The single is excellent!!!

Great B-Sides That Should Have Been On 'One Nil', April 27, 2001
This review is from: Rest of the Day Off / Underestimated (Audio CD)
'Underestimated' and 'Now I Get It' further showcase the more playful, organic songwriting approach that takes place on Neil's masterful new 'One Nil' release. One gets the feeling listening to these cutting-room floor tracks that Neil, Tchad Blake and Wendy Melvoin had a lot of fun jamming together in the studio - seasonings of all 3 personalities come through in the musical stew. It's a cryin' shame that these songs were left off the full album. Maybe down the road, there'll be a special release of 'One Nil' that adds a bonus disc of B-sides, much like 'Try Whistling This.' Fans of this record should eagerly seek out the wonderful self-titled CD by Wendy & Lisa's alter-ego 'Girl Bros.' which was also engineered & co-produced by Tchad Blake.

one neil, worth the wait, March 18, 2001
This review is from: Rest of the Day Off / Underestimated (Audio CD)
Still jaded by the break up of my favorite band (Crowded House) Neil's first album took months to grow on me. One Nil, on the other hand has made an instant bond with me, and is worth the trouble of importing asap, since we can't buy it in the us yet. Soon my pretty little musice jem.... soon
